“We’re not supposed to tell her that”

Bianca immediately looks contrite.

“Please don’t tell my dad that I told you. I forgot it was a secret.”

And because she looked so worried I smiled and patted her hair.

“Now it’s our secret” she smiles s satisfied smile and goes back to her painting. LJ moves closer to me and I tickle him lightly before hugging him close to me.

He’s getting to it. Luca is going to propose to me. Holy shit. It could literally happen anytime.

I FaceTimed Ryan the second I got home and he squealed in excitement and with an unexplainable joy when I tell him what happened.

“A proposal from 2 adorable children and one impending one from the hottest man alive. I want your life in my next life.”

He sha and I laugh. We talk a little more and then I have to let him get back to work.

As the election drew nearer,Luca became even more busy, like an ant moving from place to place with crumbs of bread. We barely had time for ourselves between my work with Ryan and helping him out. I hate the distance between us but I l la it’s going to get better once he was elected. We do still talk on the phone every night until I can’t keep my eyes open anymore. That’s my favorite time of the day.

Finally the day of the election comes, it’s a day full of nerves and excitement and a bit of anxiety from me.

“You have your speech memorized?” I ask Luca for the billionth time and he nods.

“Every word.”

Are you nervous?” I ask him and he nods. He doesn’t look nervous though so I know he’s saying that for my benefit.

“Hey, look at me. No matter what happens today, I love you. I have loved every minute of everyday I have spent with you and I will continue to do so for the rest of my life.” I tear up again, what is with me and tears this days?” It’s like I have no control over my emotions.

I throw myself at him and he hugs me so tight.

“I love you too. I love you so freaking much Luca.”

Soon he leaves me and goes to stand in front of the people. Everyone is in s frenzy of screams and we love youd, there’s so many placards everywhere with his face on, people even printed out I HEART Luca shirts, it’s all amazing.

Luca is amazing as he stands there and gets them to quiet down while he gives his speech.

Any blind man can see that he was born to be here, to be the senator. He was born for bigger things than this and I’m excited for it.

The voting begins and we sit in a s room by ourselves as the votes are tallied.

We’re holding hands and mine are shaking uncontrollably.

It happens in slow motion really. One minute I’m on the chair and the next Luca is lifting me into the air.

“We won. We did it”

We won. We won. We won.

I snapout of my daze and throw my hands around Luca, we jump up and down and he kissed me like a starving man. Luca is now the senator. From the picture we’re seeing in the tv, everyone is happy because there’s lots of shouting and clapping.

We really did it.

Luca has to leave for a press conference and I sit in the room and watch him on the large screen. Ryan comes in and we share a long hug.

“Congratulations mrs senator” he says and I slap his back.
