“Noon? You can meet us in the lockers. I’ll let the security guys know you’re coming.”

We said goodbye, and I checked the time. I had a few hours until we had to be there, and it never took me that long to get ready. I pursed my lips and eyed the bed. Go back to sleep or go figure out if Leo had a computer I could borrow to set up the jobs I got cards for last weekend. I was still debating when Leo entered the room and wrapped his arms around my waist.

“Who was that?”

“Diego. He’s letting us come to the locker rooms to see the team. Think the guys will freak out?”

He chuckled. “Probably. What time?”

“Noon.”

When his lips and teeth started on my neck, I knew what he wanted to do with the free time we had. I grinned and spun in his arms. My head tipped to the side as I shamelessly checked him out. There was just something about a man with tattoos that set me on fire.

“We’ve got some time to kill.”

He dragged me closer until we were wrapped around each other. I enjoyed the easy going Leo. He wasn’t being a domineering asshole, and I actually had fun hanging out with him.

“What did you have in mind?” His voice was rough, like he was just as affected by the flirting as I was. I smirked.

“Well, I had been thinking about getting some work done, but…”

He didn’t give me time to finish. He dipped, sweeping me into his arms, and tossed me onto the bed like I weighed nothing. Then he landed on top of me, his hands in my hair as he easily took control. It was hard not to be okay with it when I knew where it was heading.

ChapterThirty

NIKKI

An hourand several orgasms later, I managed to pull myself away from Leo and hide in the guestroom. If I wasn’t careful, he’d convince me to spend the day in bed and I wasn’t going to miss time with my brother. I showered and dressed in a hurry, eager to get moving.

When I made my way downstairs, Leo was already dressed. It was the most casual I’d ever seen him, dark jeans and a plain white t-shirt, his hair still wet from his own shower. He was on the phone, his back to me, and I took advantage of the distraction to check him out freely.

“You’re staring and it’s gross,” Frankie complained when he popped up next to me. I smirked.

“What are you still doing here?”

He scrubbed his neck, embarrassed, as he thrust a small box at me. “I got you something.”

“Aw, you shouldn’t have.” I threw an arm around his shoulder and led him to the kitchen. I pulled myself up onto the counter, tearing the box open, and burst out laughing. It was a phone case with the words ‘Fuck off and die’ scrolled across it. Frankie grinned.

“I remember you saying that to Leo, so I thought you’d like it.”

“I love it. Thanks Frankie.” I immediately switched out the cases on my phone, still chuckling. He looked proud of himself, so I hopped off the counter and gave him a quick hug. People didn’t buy me gifts often, usually just Nonna. I didn’t let my little sisters spend money on me. Nino made me my favorite food, that was his gift since he wasn’t a big shopper. And Diego got me baseball merch. It wasn’t much, but it made me happy, so I wasn’t going to complain.

The time flashed across the screen as I snapped on the case. I frowned and turned towards Leo, who was still on the phone. I didn’t want to interrupt. I had no idea if it was important, so I nudged Frankie and we headed outside.

“I need you to do me a favor. Leo’s obviously busy and I don’t want to be late. I’m gonna head there now and he can meet up when he’s done. Let him know, okay?”

Frankie’s eyes went wide, and he shook his head quickly. “Hell no. Tell him yourself. He’ll kill me.”

I rolled my eyes. “Don’t be a chicken. It’s not like I’m going on my own. I’ll make Mikey take me. Come on, Frankie, I don’t want to be late meeting Diego.” I pouted. If it worked on full-grown men, a teenager didn’t stand a chance. He grimaced, trying to avoid my gaze before his shoulders drooped.

“Fuck. Fine. But if he kicks my ass, we aren’t friends anymore.”

I laughed and pinched his cheek. “You’ll be fine. You can outrun him, right?”

He looked worried, but I wasn’t going to stick around to see what happened. I jogged up to Mikey and Dante, who were waiting by the car. Mikey’s eyebrows went up when he took in my outfit, and I frowned.

“What?”
