Ryan nods playfully, but I stop him, "But no. No more sex for today. If I let you continue, you might pound me into a coma the next time. Also, Cale is out there alone with the 7-feet deep pool. Isn't it dangerous?"

Ryan shakes his head, "Don't worry. Gwen's there. She is looking after him."

That chases away my tiredness, "Gwen's here? I want to go meet her."

I'm about to stand up when I get a head rush, and Ryan catches me, "Whoa. Whoa. Are you okay?"

I nod as he sits me back down and jokes, "Seriously. I ask to make love with you, but you refuse me; when it's Gwen, you stand up even when you're just recovering."

I glare at him, "And whose fault is that?"

I wink, grinning, "Mine. But seriously, I get jealous, you know? Even if it's my sister."

I shake my head as Ryan passes me back the soup, "You should drink this up and take your pills. I don't want you fainting again. I'll call Gwen for you."

I smile, "Thanks, Ryan."

I am enjoying my soup. I didn't know Ryan could cook, or maybe it was Gwen. I am deep in thought when Gwen comes in, "Wow. He is treating you like a queen, isn't he?"

I can feel myself bursting into flames, as I think he definitely is. Ignoring that comment, I cough, "So, how are you doing? I haven't seen you since a week ago."

Gwen shrugs as she walks to the bed, "Well, actually, I came to tell you something…."

She prepares to sit on the edge of the bed when she pauses, "Don't tell me the details. Just tell me if this is a safe place to sit?"

Even though I can see the sheets are clean, thanks to Ryan, I still look at the spot; my cheeks burn again as I shake my head, trying not to remember what we did there. I just cough, looking around, "Just sit on the couch or that chair. We did-"

Gwen raises a hand, her expression awkward, "Stop. As I said, no details."

I huff, almost laughing, "Why were you trying so hard to set us up when you were going to be this awkward?"

Gwen brings the chair near as she sits, "At the time, I never thought you guys were going to get together. After all, you were so stone-cold to every guy I brought – no matter how hot or rich they were."

That makes me pause, "Do you regret us getting together?"

Gwen looks back at me, shocked, "How did you come to think that?"

"Well, you're my best friend. I don't want you to be so uncomfortable because of me. And I have noticed that you rarely come by anymore."

Gwen sighs, "Okay. Stop right there. I love you, Jen. More than I love my brother even. And the only reason I haven't been able to stop by more is that Ryan told me that I was interfering with you guys too much."

I am flabbergasted, "He did what?!"

Gwen nods, "Yep. He is so jealous of our relationship. I feel like a winner whenever he scowls, but I also thought you needed time to get to know each other, so don't worry. No matter what, you and I will always be best friends."

She smiles, and I can't help smiling back when she states, "And I love that we will be sisters after you guys get married."

I look at her weirdly, "Won't we be moving too fast?"

She shrugs, "I don't care. You are my sister, with or without."

I roll my eyes, "So what did you want to tell me?"

Gwen suddenly claps her hands, "Oh, right. I sent my portfolio to the H&Ns a few weeks ago. And I just got a call. They want me as one of their designers."

I almost squeal along with Gwen, "Oh my God! You're finally going to be a designer?!"

She squeals, "I'm finally going to be a designer!"
