“I promise, we’ll just talk while I show her around.”

“Nope, we’re all coming,” Luke confirms as everybody heads to my cabin.

Then it hits me. I don’t have to hide things from these guys. If she laughs, they’ll have my back. Or not, and I’ll live. I lean into my normal lightheartedness as I open my door. “You know what would be really funny?”

Luke shrugs.

“If someone in the group hadn’t had sex before, and we all got to witness their first time.”

Luke studies me. “Are you saying...”

Isadora whips her head my direction, from surveying my cabin, and caresses a hand over my shirt sleeve.

My dick thickens. I’d love to get her into my bed and close the other two out—I’d only need about half a minute of my dick in her pussy. Damn this is going to be embarrassing.

“Are you a virgin?” she asks.

“Yeah.” No point dragging this out.

Knox cracks up as he closes the door. “Wait. Our manly-man lumberjack, who’s always boasting about putting women’s names on his wood is a—“

“I am what I am. Accept it and move on.” My words are curt as I cut him off, and replay everything he said.

He didn’t reveal that I have a social media presence, just described it.

Isadora smiles and tugs at the sleeve of my red and black flannel shirt. “You do look the lumberjack part. And if it makes you feel any better, you aren’t the only virgin in the room.”

KnoxandLukecoughedand sputtered, which tells me we’re all surprised by Clyde’s revelation, which is such a contrast to Hardwood, Clyde’s online persona.

I pull off my best effort to keep cool. After all, I don’t want to be judged for being a virgin.

There’s a difference in perception of male versus female virgins though. Aside from guys who want a woman who knows what she’s doing, some guys want to be a woman’s first.

I don’t know if they think at least for that one time, they will be the best sex she’s ever had, even if it sucks. Or if men are more insecure than they let on and love the idea that there’s no comparison. Or in longer relationships, unlike tonight, there would be something truly beautiful about taking that step.

Tonight is just sex, though. Get the first time over with. Don’t worry about it. That’s my goal. Do it with a guy who knows what he’s doing.

So, Clyde isn’t my guy, but it will be kind of cool to be his first. Based on the followers his comments make on his posts—the way they talk about him like he’s a piece of meat—I’m sure many of them would take one for the team.

But he and his friends, or brothers, chose me.

The gimmick comment from earlier plays through my mind. Possible, but not a problem. I’m keeping this transactional.

Knox rubs his hands over his face and takes an abnormally deep breath.

Luke rakes a hand through his hair. “Okay, this is interesting. I’m a V-card-carrying member too.”

Knox blurts out, “What the hell? All of us? Seriously.”

That’s exactly my thought,Seriously? They have to be lying. Maybe Clyde, but not the other two, especially not Knox. I’m sure a ton of women have tangled their fingers in his beard and pulled that mouth down to where they most want it.

I need to cut off any silliness. “Okay, guys, I really am a virgin. I was hoping to get bid on by someone who would help me with my virginity.”

“Help you?” Luke says.
