“I like you, Tony,” I said as I buttoned up the dark red shirt, glad the rain had let up.
Nobu held out the suit jacket, and I slipped it on. It had been a while since I’d been dressed in such a fashion. I enjoyed the dresses and the lingerie, but there was a certain appeal being in a form-fitting suit.
Tony growled and attempted to talk through the gag. His gaze was locked on me, and if I was a lesser man, I might have dropped to my knees. I smiled down at him.
“In another lifetime, I might have taken you up on that challenge in your eyes.” I winked at him. “But unfortunately for the both of us, I’m a married man now.”
Tony jerked in his restraints. Maybe I should have felt bad knowing just how sucky being tied down felt. Instead, I felt more like myself than I had in days.
“Sir,” one of my men called. “We found him.”
I sighed in relief. “Don’t worry. I’m not going to go crazy or anything like that. I just hate being looked down on. I can’t have that from Benito.” I focused back on Nobu and Riku. “Who’s running my division now?”
“We’ve been placed under your younger brother Kei,” Nobu said.
He couldn’t handle shit, but there wasn’t anything I could do about it now. “And it’s just you two that are still loyal to me?”
Nobu shook his head. “No, only a select few have turned their backs on you. The rest of us are waiting for you to come back, sir.”
Tony grunted against the gag. I glanced down at him. I smiled as I reached for the top of the trunk.
“Are you sure you don’t want us to take care of him?” Riku asked.
I shook my head. “He picks out some of the best lingerie I’ve worn, and I’m pretty sure my husband would kill me if something happened to him.”
They didn’t question me. Most men who’d been under me didn’t. They knew exactly what I could do, and no matter if I wore nail polish or dressed feminine, I was still capable of ending their lives before they could fathom what was happening.
“See you later.” I slammed the trunk, cutting off the sound of Tony’s muffled shouts.
“Where is he?”
“Blu,” Nobu answered.

I steppedthrough the doors of Blu, one of the hottest clubs in New York. The place was packed even on a Wednesday night. It would be impressive if I wasn’t currently pissed at the man who owned it.
The exposed brick on the wall closest to the bar added to the overall appeal. The lights were dimmed as music filled the club. Bodies writhed together and made the atmosphere hot despite the cool blue lights.
If I were an arrogant piece of shit, where would I sit?My gaze instantly went to the VIP section. Sure, enough, Benito was up there, but he wasn’t alone. I moved to the far wall, keeping my eyes on him as two women settled beside him. Their hands draped all over him, touching him in ways that had my earlier irritation feeling like child’s play.
Who cares? He’s straight.
Yeah, that wasn’t going to work for me. Regardless of my husband’s words, I knew what I felt, and according to his brothers, he wasn’t as straight as he was trying to portray. If I marched up to the VIP section, I was liable to kill every single person, Benito included.
“Sir, what do you need from us?”
My shoulders eased. I rolled them to release the remainder of the tension left behind. “Nothing until I give the signal.”
I headed toward the bar and spotted a familiar face instantly. Tex’s big blue eyes widened the moment they landed on me. He glanced at the VIP section but quickly looked away when I approached the bar. A woman sauntered up to me with a smile on her face.
“Trix, I got this one,” Tex said.
The big hulking man stopped in front of me. If he wasn’t involved with the mafia, I would have sworn he was a cop. He had that feel about him. “What can I get you?”
“My husband at home and not cheating on me in public.”
Tex flinched, and I laughed, easing the tension. As far as I was concerned, I had no qualms with his brothers or their men. They might all be giant dicks, but they weren’t the ones I was chained to.
