“Get off,” I said through clenched teeth. I barely restrained myself.
“Why? So you can run like a bitch?”
I twisted around and punched Benito in the face. My knuckles slammed against his cheekbone. The vibration from the hit scattered up my arm, making me feel a little better. “Want to say that again?”
Benito spat blood on the floor and wiped the corner of his mouth as he smiled at me. I didn’t dodge as Benito’s fist knocked into my abdomen. I grunted. The damn corset was already cutting into my ribs, making it damn near impossible to breathe.
“Want totrythat again?” Benito grunted.
I didn’t think I just acted. I charged him. Benito was bigger than me and stronger. I excelled at quick movements and lethal jabs. Tackling wasn’t my area of expertise, but I still slammed my entire body into Benito like a linebacker. He grunted, nearly falling. He caught his footing as I tried to pull back to crash into him again. Benito grabbed me around my waist and slammed me down on the small table. It broke as glass shattered around us. Still, I hooked my legs over his shoulder and around his neck. I twisted around and flipped him over. The first thing I got my hands on, I slammed it against his head. The glass shattered upon impact, cutting into my hand and raining down on Benito.
My stomach flipped as Benito glared at me. His dark eyes bore into mine as if he’d already plotted my death, and now he would make it come true.
“Fuck you,” I snapped.
“You’re going to pay for that little stunt.”
Benito hooked his arms around my legs, securing them. I clenched my thighs around him, squeezing with everything I had. Benito was red in the face. The bruises that were still healing from when he and Quincy fought stood out as my husband lifted me off the ground.
“Don’t—”
Air whooshed out of me as Benito slammed me full force to the ground. My mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water as I tried to remember how to breathe. My legs loosened, and I fell away from Benito.
If only I had my knife.I rolled over, forcing my body to keep moving. I kicked back, and Benito caught my foot before it landed in the middle of his chest.
“Do you hate me that much?” Benito spat out.
Is he fucking stupid?
“I don’t fucking hate you!”
“I don’t hate you either.”
My stomach twisted and the next three words sat heavily on my tongue.Say it. Stop being a bitch Harlow. Tell him!
Benito wiped the blood off his face, his eyes trained on me as if he wasn’t sure what to make of me. “You want me dead.”
“Every fucking day.” I shoved my trembling fingers through my hair. It had fallen from our fight. One look at my clothes, and I groaned. The white tux was splattered with blood.
“Then why haven’t you done it yet?”
My head snapped up and I stared at Benito. It felt like he already knew, but he couldn’t possibly know I was so in love with him I no longer saw a world without him in it. I swallowed down the lump in my throat. I couldn’t believe I was going to say this. What if I said it and everything fell through? I could handle a lot. I’d been through a lot but this...
This feels like too much.
Benito moved toward me, and he grabbed my face. Still the words were stuck, unable to break free. Our lips met in a passionate kiss that was sloppy and chaotic. I sucked it down as if it was the only reason I was alive. I never wanted to stop. It was even more intense than our first. Fireworks went off and I was a goner. There was no turning back as need sliced through my flesh.
My clothes felt restrictive, keeping me from the one man I’d fallen in love with. I needed Benito pressed against me, in me, owning me. I tore at his tux without care. I didn’t give a damn if the wedding was called off or if every single person out there got angry. All I knew and understood was the undeniable desire for the man before me. He was the only one who could scratch the itch he’d created.
“It’s all your fault,” I said between kisses.
Benito ripped the blazer off me and grabbed at the corset. "Who the fuck chose this shit?"
I groaned and attempted to help him. It wasn’t coming off fast enough. Benito pulled out a knife from a holder on his ankle. I went still as he drew the knife down the corset. The fabric split like butter.Fuck, that’s hot.I licked my lips hungrily, craving my husband even more.
The moment the corset was fully off I sucked in air greedily only to forfeit it over again once Benito’s lips crashed into mine. I’d never tire of kissing him. I always felt so good. We tore at each other’s clothes until there was nothing left between us. Benito shoved glass and the broken table to the side. He grabbed his tux and laid it on the ground before moving me over to it.
My breath hitched as he slipped between my thighs. He groaned as he looked down at me.
