I shrugged. “He just fell over.”
“Yep. Right over.” Gin coughed. “I’m fine, puppy.”
I walked back into the penthouse and closed the door behind me. They both knew there was one name I didn’t want to be spoken in my presence, ever. Brycen. After all, I’d done for him, after I tried tosavehim from his own vices, how had he repaid me? By cheating on me. And not just with anyone, no, but with my brother Enzo. Layer that with the fact that he was feeding info to the police, and it all compounded into one fucked up blow. Brycen had taken my heart and ripped it out of my chest. I’d left it with him, buried in a park after I ordered Enzo to kill him while I watched.
“Benito?”
I glanced up and met Harlow’s gaze. He’d slipped into a pair of jeans, but he continued to wear my shirt. I wondered when he was going to take it off, but he seemed to be in no hurry, even after his shower. His cheeks were a faint pink from the toy still stuffed up his ass, and I loved it.
“Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” I muttered. “I’m fine.” I looked around. “Where’s Enzo?”
“He said he’d start in the kitchen and go from there. I warned him not to go looking around in the bedroom, or he’d find the toy collection.”
I groaned. “You talk too much.”
He shrugged. “Probably.” Harlow stepped closer and laid a hand on my chest when I tried to move. “Are you sure you’re okay? When you walked in, you looked…”
“I’m fine,” I said as he trailed off. I grabbed his chin and tilted his head up. “I have a meeting to go to, though. I’m going to leave Ash and Tex here.”
Harlow groaned before he lowered his voice. “What is this, wife club but for boyfriends?”
“You’re not my boyfriend.”
Harlow pulled a face. “I know that, thanks.”
When he tried to pull away, I spun him around and pulled him against my body. I reached around and pressed the tentacle up his ass more firmly. Harlow nearly fell, but I wouldn’t allow that.
“If you behave, I’ll come home and fuck you until you sob,” I whispered. “Okay?”
Harlow’s face lit up. “Okay!” He practically bounced before he winced and moaned. “Can I take this toy out?”
“Absolutely not. I want you so horny you’re desperate by the time I get back.”
My lips crashed against his, stealing all his protests. He sank against me, and I felt that stupid, illogical flip-flopping of my heart again. Everything seemed better when Harlow was in my arms. What would I do if he was working against me? What would I do if he had to go?

I stoodup as my office at Blu was filled with family heads. There were several in attendance, but I focused my attention on Andre and Richie. They were the heads of the Aceto and Cappola families. They each walked in, shook my hand, hugged me, and took a seat. The men they trusted most were by their sides. For Andre Aceto, that was his brother Lee. And for Richie, it was his cousin, Remy.
I almost laughed internally. Being Italian always meant one thing; huge families. Not that I could talk shit about my Italian side, not when my Mexican side boasted just as many people.Having a big family around must be nice.
Thinking about family made my stomach tighten. I’d always envisioned myself with five or six little brats running around a new house I’d purchased just for a family. In every daydream, I promised myself that I would do it right. When I was a father, I’d love my children no matter what and support them in all their dreams. Now that I was married to a man, courtesy of my father, that dream evaporated.
Alessio Fallaci walked in with Marco by his side. The moment Marco and Gin locked eyes, I groaned.
“You fucker,” Marco spat. “Do you know how much it costs to get cum stains out of upholstery?”
“Nope,” Gin grinned. “Cuz I don’t cum in my cars. Only yours.”
“That’s the second goddamn time!” Marco snapped as he rushed Gin. “You asshole!”
Fists flew, and I pinched the bridge of my nose. I hated head meetings. Sometimes they were civilized and organized, but most times? Chaos, bloodshed, animal behavior. I knew I shouldn’t be surprised after spending so much time with these men, but damn, was it annoying.
“Break it up,” I told Enzo and Tony.
They pulled Gin and Marco apart. Alessio looked as exasperated as I was. He crossed the space, took my hand, and pulled me into a rough hug as he patted my back. I did the same. When we pulled apart, he sighed.
