Col turned to face him. Theo hadn’t even brought the towel with him and Col dragged his gaze up. “Get your cock in my mouth, have mine in yours. Take you to bed and fuck the living daylights out of you. And if I’m really lucky, you’ll want to do the same to me.”

Theo gave a loud gulp. “You know what I’d like to happen? Some sort of minor apocalypse that means we can’t leave this room, though we have plenty of food and water to last us for ages and we’re not in danger.”

Col chuckled. “I could sleepover on Friday if you want me to.” He pulled on his clothes. “My parents are staying at a hotel that night and they fly on Saturday morning. You can stay with me on Saturday night after you’ve taken me metal detecting. I’ll cook.”

He turned to look at Theo who was gaping at him.

“Have I finally found a way to shut you up?”

“And make me hard, you multitasker,—you!”

Col glanced at Theo’s cock and smiled.

“You can’t leave until you’ve had dessert. And we still have fifty-seven minutes before I have to go to my father.”

Col laughed. “No, we don’t.”

“We’ll share.” Theo brought over a ramekin from the freezer and grabbed a spoon. He pushed Col down onto the couch and straddled his lap.

One mouthful and Col didn’t even want to let the spoon out of his mouth.

“Good, isn’t it?” Theo scooped up another spoonful and Col lunged for it before Theo could get it. “Hey,” he said, laughing.

“What’s in this?”

“Egg yolks, cream, sugar, marsala. Stay and I’ll let you have it all.”

“Including the other pot?”

“That’s going too far.” Theo’s eyes twinkled. “Will you stay?”

“I really can’t.”

“I have lube and condoms. I gave them to your mother. By accident. They were in that bag. She didn’t see them. I don’t think. I got them back. Obviously.”

Col groaned. “Get dressed and go and see your father. I really have to go.”

Theo was back at his father’s study in exactly one hour with his laptop. He knocked on the door.

“Come,” his father called and Theo went in.

His father was working on his tablet. The computer Col had carried upstairs was on the floor where he’d left it.

“I have someone coming to get that first thing tomorrow,” his father said. “His name’s Willis. I want you to go with him.”

Theo tried to hide his disappointment at not spending the day with Col.

“This is the name and number of the company you can give Darnley.” He handed Theo a piece of paper. “If he should question where you got the name, tell him it was a place I recommended.”

“Okay.”

“Have you thought of a reason you wanted details of a former wedding?”

“Someone who was at that event and was interested in having her own wedding here.” Except there was a paper file about that. But Theo could fudge it.

“Fine. I’ve uploaded everything. Pull over a chair and we’ll have a quick look together.”

Quick turned into three hours and despite Theo’s headache, he thought they might have been the happiest three hours he’d spent with his father for years, even though what they were doing was distressing. Theo was being listened to and was able to make sensible suggestions. Maybe he knew more about running the place than he’d thought. His father even offered him whisky, though Theo said no. He really didn’t need to get drunk and hewould. It didn’t take much alcohol to make his head spin.
