Page 24 of Gator

Gator took one off the plate and bit into it. It was hot, the chewy center just close enough to under-done but not over-done. The chocolate melted against his lips, and his eyes rolled back in his head.

“Damn,” he muttered. “I’m going to gain twenty pounds eating those.”

“I doubt very seriously if you’re going to gain twenty pounds,” she frowned. “You and all the men here strike me as the kind of men who don’t gain weight at all. In fact, I bet you can eat whatever you want, right?”

“Well, if I say yes are you going to throw something at me?”

“See, I knew it,” she smirked. “Guys are so lucky. You can gain a little weight and lose it the next week. No big deal. Women put on five pounds just smelling chocolate chip cookies.”

“You don’t need to lose an ounce,” said Gator, staring at her. He swallowed the cookie, staring at the curve from her waist to her lush hips. Her jeans were stretched tight over her round ass, and damn if his dick didn’t notice. At this rate, he’d be running every hour just to get it to stay down.

“That’s very sweet of you, but I still have a few pounds of baby weight I need to lose. When you’re a single parent, you don’t have the luxury of going to the gym whenever you want or taking off for a run,” she said, shrugging.

“Do you want to go for a run? I can watch Joey.”

“Oh, no,” she blushed, shaking her head. “I don’t run. That was probably an unfair thing to say. I’m not big on exercise in general. I mean, I love to take long walks, and I enjoy yoga, but nothing hardcore.”

“Walking is every bit as good for you as running, without all the stress on your joints, and yoga is amazing. Even the Navy tried to get us involved in more things like yoga or Pilates to help keep us limber and without injury.” He could see the little nod of her head, then that look that said she was thinking way too hard.

“Dylan? You don’t need to lose any weight at all. Your body is perfect, and I wouldn’t change a thing about it. Nothing.” He reached out for her hand, pulling her toward him. One arm snaked around her waist, and she stared up at him.

“Why do you have to be so kind and handsome?” He chuckled, shaking his head.

“Do you want me to be a dick and ugly?”

“No,” she laughed. “It’s just why do I meet this amazing, unbelievably handsome guy right in the middle of this mess? I mean, I’ve been out there a while. Single and hoping to find someone to love.” She stopped, her face paled, and she shook her head.

“Ian, I didn’t mean that,” she whispered.

“I damn sure hope you did,” he smirked. “Listen, Dylan, I get that there’s a truckload of shit to unload with this situation, but I really hope you stay. I’d like to see where this relationship goes, and I damn sure want to get to know you in every way possible.”

“Really?” she whispered.

“Really, baby. I thought I made that clear to you. I’m here for you and for Joey. Whatever I need to do, I’ll do it.”

“B-but you’re leaving, aren’t you?” she asked, staring up at his face.

“I think I’ve made my decision,” he said, pulling her tighter against his body. “A wise man said the SEALs need me, but my family needs me more. I agree, and I need them. I’ll be staying, Dylan, and I damn sure hope you’ll let me stay here.”

“Y-you mean you’d stay here with me and Joey? Live with us?” He laughed, shaking his head.

“Don’t run on me, okay?” She nodded. “Live here with you as family, Dyl. Family.”

“How can you be so sure? I mean, we’ve only known one another a few weeks, and I have a baby that’s not yours, and I have a crazy man chasing me, and you! And…”

Gator slammed his mouth down on hers, tasting the sugar and chocolate on her lips. She moaned against his mouth, the sound so erotic he thought he might cum in his shorts. Melting to his body, her pelvis ground against his rigid cock, and she gasped, then moaned again.

“Damn,” muttered Gator. “Baby, I want nothing more than to take you to that bedroom and make you mine. But I need you to be sure about this. Of us. Things happen fast around here, and it’s hard to understand, but I can tell you that all of this is for real.”

“Oh, I know,” she said, wrapping her arms around his waist. She felt that beautiful cock pressing against her stomach and the pooling of heat and liquid between her legs. “Your great-grandmother told me that all of this happens for a reason and that I should trust it. It was crazy. I was sitting with Joey in the garden, just reading a book, and she came by and started talking to me.

“She rested her hand on my arm, and it was as if the whole world seemed to brighten. My fears started to dissipate, my worries about Joey, my concerns about what was happening between you and me. It all just evaporated, and it was replaced by warmth and affection and a feeling of longing for you.

“Irene told me it would feel like it was fast but that it was all meant to be, and I should save myself some heartburn and just go with it. So, that’s what I’m doing. I’m just going with it. I don’t know how I got so lucky running into you and spilling food all over you,” she laughed, shaking her head, “but I’m grateful that I did. I’m even more grateful that you forced me to talk to you in the garden that day. I truly was contemplating the worst.”

“Don’t ever think like that,” he said, hugging her tightly. “I need you.” Gator swallowed, kissing the top of her head. Damn. He needed her. He genuinely needed her, and he hadn’t even seen it coming.

Joey let out a soft laugh, and Gator turned toward him in his seat.
