I don’t know what it is with Atty and Beau. Yes, she is sexy and gorgeous, but she’s far too young for three men in their mid to late thirties. She’s also too prim and proper to give me what I need.
Unfortunately, for Atty and Beau, that means we haven’t found the woman who will complete us. The woman who we can trust, not only with our hearts but with our business and our clients as well.
That woman is not a twenty-one-years-old strawberry blonde beauty, regardless of her amazing smile and tits. And now she is our client, which puts her further out of bounds.
I stroll to the doorway and lazily watch the corridor as I wait for everyone to reach the room.
I see Beau first. His pleading eyes are still the same as they were when he left. He wants the three of us, Atty, Beau and me, to consider Erin as a potential match. It’s like she has some hold over the two men, and each of them has already forgotten the pact we have: Primarily, not dating the clients.
And Erin is now our client.
Her father wants her protected at all costs, ever since her cousin was killed in Australia. He also knows as well as we do that the people responsible are the same people he works for. It appears the Mafia is ramping up their efforts to find the girl who was with one of their men on a murderous night.
Unfortunately, her father believes Erin could be the next victim.
I raise my eyebrow at Atty; his eyes are nearly bulging out of his head, and he needs to know it can never happen. Not with us and not with him. He needs to get over her.
The petite but curvy girl strolls round the corner. She tied her hair in a high bun. She’s not wearing any make-up and is wearing a pair of black-rimmed glasses. If there is one thing I like about her, it’s that she is unassuming and low maintenance.
Her eyes widen as she stares at Atty. “It’s you,” she whispers.
“Yeah,” Atty says, his Adam’s apple rippling in his throat.
Beau and I twist and wait for him to explain what is going on.
“We had a thing,” Atty says.
“You were going to call me.”
“I was.”
She strides forward and stops in front of Atty, causing a low groan to rise from his throat. “And now you’re here,” she says. “Do you want to tell me what’s going on?”
“Yeah Atty, please explain.” Beau crosses his arms over his chest and tilts his head to one side as he waits.
“Don’t Beau,” Atty growls.
“We had an agreement, Atty,” Beau pushes his sleeves to his elbows, readying himself for a fight.
What the fuck is wrong with these two men?
“Agreement,” Erin seethes and shakes her head.
“Forget whatever happened. You’re now our client and it’s over,” I say.
Erin raises her hand and turns her head my way. “Client. Hello. Will someone please explain what is going on? My father told me I’m going to disappear for a while.”
I glare at Beau. “You didn’t tell her in the car?”
He shakes his head. “I didn’t think it was the right place.”
More like he didn’t want to upset his crush. I can understand the fascination. Sheisa beautiful young woman and her curves are delicious. I like her beautiful eyes; glistening green like brilliant emerald jewels, and when she smiles, she has everyone staring at her.
Including me… which needs to stop right now. “Your father asked us to keep you safe,” I say.
“He told me,” she interrupts, turning in the corridor, looking around as I open the door to the office and step inside.
“Come in,” I say, turning back to her. “We can discuss everything here.”
