“You mean… we’d come for a visit.”

Bella’s face lit up. “You’d do that?”

“Of course.” He turned her way, his face serious.

Bella nodded. “Great. Maybe we can go fishing. I always wanted to try catching a fish in the wild.”

Tanner chuckled gleefully. “You’re on.” Then he added, “She sounded good. I’m happy for her.”

Bella nodded. “Me too. Now that we’re a couple, I totally understand the feeling of coming home.”

Tanner pulled the car swiftly to the curb, threw the gear into park and reached for her. “Between us, a real home is something I’ve always wanted.” His smile was filled with such a gentleness that even he felt overwhelmed. ‘You need to understand something. You’ll always be my home.”
