Law growled and tried to pull me back, but Terror laughed then swung me around and handed me off to Savage. From there, I was passed around and hugged by every biker in the room. Eventually, the ladies got involved too. They didn’t forget about Law. He was being hugged and slapped on the back. Finally, things calmed down,

“I’ll be ordering the cut. Just let me know what you want on it,” Blaze told Law.

“I will. I’ll text it over to you. I know what I want. Thanks. How long will it take to get it?”

“Maybe a week. Sometimes it takes longer and other times it’s less than that. I never know.”

“That’s not bad.”

For the next hour or so, we stayed to visit with everyone. Since the meeting had been close to dinner time, instead of everyone eating early or hurrying to throw something together afterward, we had pizza brought in for everyone. The number of boxes that the poor delivery boy brought was daunting. Thankfully, by the look on his face, they tipped him well for his hard work.

Dylan kept trying to snatch pieces of pizza off the plates of those closest. He had Law laughing. Dylan was less than thrilled with his softer baby food.

“He knows what he wants. He wants pizza like a big kid, don’t ya, D-man.”

Dylan grinned at him. He was sitting on his lap.

“D-man, is that his new name?” I asked.

“Yep. He’s D-man. Daniel is Big-D and I think Dena should be DeeDee Doll. What do you think?”

“I think you’re crazy and they’ll love those. Lucky for you, I don’t have more kids or you’d have to find even more nicknames,” I teased.

He leaned closer to whisper, “Oh, I know I’ll have to come up with more if we decide to have a few ourselves. I think we’ll have to stick to the D-naming thing you started.”

“Really, you think? Well, we’ll have to see, but I think it might be a good thing if you begin to think about the ones you like. That way, if or when the time comes, we’ll be ready.”

His face lit up. He quickly gave me one of those kisses of his that made my brain go fuzzy. When he stopped, I was ready to tell him to take me to the house and let’s see if we could get started.

I was able to stop myself by sheer willpower. Finally, it was getting late and kids were wilting and slowing down. More than one yawn and eye rub was seen. This was our sign to break up the fun. The others would likely stay for a while, but I needed to get my three home, bathed and tucked into their beds. I stood up, and Law came to his feet. Dylan was now in my arms but Dena had crawled up on Law’s lap and was struggling to stay awake. Daniel was sitting quietly, playing on the floor with trucks.

“I’m going to take the kids to the house. They need to be put to bed.”

“Okay, let’s go. I’ll grab Big D.”

“Law, you don’t need to do that. I can get them there. Why don’t you spend time with the guys? I bet they have something they’re dying to make you do.”

“If they do, they’re not doing it tonight. I asked earlier and was told to enjoy myself. So, I’m going to do that. Let’s get our bunch home. I’d love to help put them to bed if you’ll let me.”

My heart melted a little seeing the tender look on his face as he gazed at my children. I couldn’t recall their father ever having that look on his face. Most of the time he looked indifferent or irritated. That was especially true whenever they cried or got loud.

“It’s your sanity. If you want to risk it, I’m game.”

He gathered Daniel up one-armed and carried the twins out. I wish I had the strength to do that, but they’d gotten too big and heavy to do that anymore. As we left, we called out our goodnights and got them in return. It was a short walk from the clubhouse to the guesthouse. The night was warm, so no one got cold.

Inside, I took them straight to their bathroom. As much as I’d like to put them straight to bed, they’d been playing and were grubby with dirt. I turned on the water. We helped them undress. It was a tight fit, but they wouldn’t be playing tonight in the water, so it was doable. I placed all three in the water.

Law kneeled down alongside the tub with me. “Give me a washcloth. I’ll do Big D if you do Dee Dee Doll. Whoever gets done first will get D-Man. Does that work for you?”

“You want to help wash them? Wow, okay, here you go. Dena and Daniel try to do it themselves but they don’t get all the nooks and crevices. Sometimes I let them help if they want, but tonight it looks like they don’t care.” I gestured to my three sleepy babes. Law chuckled and got to work.

I won’t lie, it was amazing to have help doing this simple task. Again, I couldn’t stop myself from comparing how Law acted toward the kids and how Dan used to. He could never be bothered to do something like this. He was always too busy at the track, racing, relaxing, or doing whatever else he liked to do. Even if he was home, he stayed in his little study.

Was I being too unfair and critical of Dan? I didn’t think I was. My short time around Law, Falcon, and the other Warriors had shown me a different side to men. I’d let Dan lull me into thinking his behavior was what all fathers did.

We didn't linger. We got them clean and then out and into their pajamas. Having them in the same room made it easy to read them a story before bed. I’d started that when the twins were babies and they loved it. I couldn’t get away with not doing it. It didn’t take them long to fall asleep. We tiptoed out and closed the door after putting on the night-light.

I let Law lead me to the living room where he took me in his arms and sat down with me on his lap. His lips nuzzled my neck and ear, making me shiver. I was so susceptible to him, that I couldn’t stop it. A touch of his lips or hands and I was wet and my body turned on like a light.
