Stretching, I bumped into the hard, hot body behind me. An arm came around me and tugged me back flush against that body. When I made contact, I felt his hard cock nestle between my ass cheeks. He ground it into me as he kissed my shoulder. “Good morning, babe,” his sleep roughened voice said.

“Good morning, honey.”

“What would you say to a shower then breakfast? We didn’t have dinner last night and I’m starving.”

“That’s because you wouldn’t let me out of this bed. A shower sounds good, but I have to get ready for work. I’m already running behind.”

“God, this is a crazy time to get up,” he groaned.

“It is, but I’m used to it. You don’t have to. Go back to sleep. I’ll leave you a key so you can lock up when you go to work.”

He frowned and shook his head. “No, I’m not going to lie here and sleep while my woman goes to work in the damn dark, parks in an alley, then goes into a store where she’s alone for two hours. Anyone could jump you. I’ll do what I’ve been doing. I’ll make sure you get to work safely.”

I could tell by his expression and the tone of his voice, there was no changing his mind. He threw back the covers and got out of bed. I laughed as he hauled me up in his arms and carried me to the bathroom. I got to experience my first coed shower. I also got to give him his first hand job while he fingered me. We both had an orgasm to start our day.

I still refused to get on his bike even though he assured me again, he’d be careful, go slow and I’d be safe. It was cold, and I wasn’t going to get on it. He rode his bike behind me the whole way there. At the bakery, he unlocked the door, checked the place, even though the alarm had been on, then sat down to chat while I worked. I actually found I loved it.

“Honey, you’re going to be exhausted by the time you get off work today. What time do you have to be in the office?”

“I have to be there by nine, but usually I’m there at eight. I work until five or later, if a job calls for it.”

“That is going to make you have over a twelve-hour day, sitting here with me.”

“So, you work a ten-hour day. I’m used to only sleeping a few hours. I’ll be fine. Besides, I need to taste test some of these before you put them out for sale. Think of it as quality control.”

“Oh, the truth comes out. You just really want my sweets.”

He circled my waist with his arms and growled in my ear as he whispered, “I want all your sweets, pastries, and what’s under these clothes.” My body flushed hot. I had to concentrate on not becoming aroused.

He did taste more than one creation and raved about all of them. The bakery opened at six thirty. Jan came waltzing in five minutes before that. She was supposed to be here at six o’clock. I didn’t bother to say anything. She wouldn’t listen to me anyway. Blade and I were out in the front. I’d stocked the display cases and got the coffee going. This is what she should’ve been doing. Also, I made sure the tables were all wiped clean and the prep station where people could doctor up their drinks was stocked. Blade gave her a disapproving look.

“What’re you doing here, Blade? We’re not open yet. You’re that anxious for my treats?” She flirted with him. I wanted to punch her.

He snorted. “Jan, you have nothing I want. I was making sure my woman was safe while here alone. It was enlightening to see her doing your job while you didn’t bother to come in to work on time. Do that often?”

“Your woman? You’re fucking kidding me? No way you’re seeing her. She’s boring. I can promise you, I’ll satisfy you more than she can. There’s nothing I won’t try.” She sashayed over to stand closer to him. He folded his arms across his massive chest and stared her down.

“Cassia more than gives me what I want and need. Desperation isn’t attractive. You should remember that. I suggest you don’t flirt like that with customers or continue to be late.”

“Why? Are you going to tell Ian?” she remarked snottily.

“Not right now. However, if my club buys this bakery, your ass will be out the door, looking for another job. We have standards we enforce in all our businesses.”

I was shocked to hear him say the club might buy the bakery. I knew Ian had mentioned more than once lately about selling and moving to Florida. I didn’t blame him. I wished I had the money to buy it myself. I was unaware of him talking to anyone else about it. Jan huffed then flounced to the back. I unlocked the door and flipped the sign toopen.

“I need to get back to work. I’ll see you later,” I told him.

He gave me a kiss then nodded. “I’ll see you later. Don’t let her push you to do her job too.”

“I won’t. When we get home later, I want you to tell me about your conversation with Ian about selling this place.”

“Deal. Goodbye, baby.”

“Goodbye. Be careful on that bike.”

He grinned as he left after kissing me again. I watched until he was out of sight. I was driven back to the kitchen with the arrival of the first few customers. Luckily, it ended up being a busier than usual day. Later, I was taking time to refill the display cases after the long morning rush, when the door alarm chimed. I looked up and smiled when I saw Bryony and Neriah. I waved at them. Jan watched as they came to the counter and I came out to hug them.

“What’re you two doing here?”
