“Yeah?”

“As it turns out, I was totally right. Everything got super awkward after that night they stayed at my place, though, and I thought that it was all over or that they wouldn’t be okay with this dynamic anymore, but I was wrong. They just didn’t know how to react after it happened, so I found them and brought them to my place again.”

“And what happened then?” asks Jinnow, her eyes wide with excitement.

“Heh, well let’s just say I got the beef sorted and had a little fun with them afterwards.”

“Willo!” exclaims Jinnow, slapping my arm. “You dirty thing you! You had a threesome?”

I make a zipping motion across my lips.

“My lips are sealed on that one Jinnow.”

“Well I’m glad you got it sorted out. So everything’s back to normal?”

“Even better than normal. All of us are happier. Yamarz doesn’t even dish out punishments to the workers here anymore.”

“I bet he does to you in bed.”

“Jinnow!”

“Oops!” she exclaims.

“Hey Willo,” calls out another worker. “Whatever you’re doing with our overseer, keep it going. He hasn’t been this nice since… well, he hasn’t ever been this nice!”

“No problem!” I laugh.

“I second that,” says another worker. “I’ll admit, I always thought you guys being together was a little strange but who am I to judge? I’ve never seen either of you any happier!”

“They’re all right, you know,” says Jinnow. “You seem better than ever, and for a human in Protheka, that’s definitely a good thing.”

“Well, thank you,” I reply. “Everyone deserves to be happy. For me, I never thought it would come in the way of dating two orcs at the same time… But that’s the thing about life, it can surprise you in the best of ways.”

“You’re right. Seeing how things have worked out for you gives me hope,” says Jinnow. “Are you here for much longer?”

“I have a few minutes left.”

“Would you mind giving me a hand with the cart then? You’ve got the strength for it.”

Sure,” I chuckle. “No problem.”

I spend the remainder of my shift chatting merrily with Jinnow and the rest of the workers, all of whomst sing praises on Yamarz’s improved moods. It seems as though he has a direct effect on the morale here. Hearing everyone’s stories makes me proud of him, knowing how shut off he once was to everyone around him.

I make a mental note to tell him later of the workers’ opinions, it would surely reaffirm him. The time comes for me to wrap up my shift. I turn to Jinnow and pull her in for a hug.

“See you soon,” I whisper in her ear.

“You too. Go have fun, you deserve it.”

Damn right, I deserve it,I think to myself.

As I spin around and begin marching toward the exit, I’m already wondering what we’re all going to be getting up to. A wave of excitement runs through me as I think about when I came home to them, already there together.

Maybe I can cook something or we can go for a stroll… the possibilities of fun with these two in my life are endless.

The exit point is just up ahead. I spot Milug hunched over the overseer’s desk, turning around as I approach.

“Ah, Willo, right?”
