Bastian laughs. “What do you plan to do with that?” He shakes his head. “Don’t be stupid. This doesn’t have to hurt.”
“Fuck you,” Aiden hisses. “Do whatever you want to me. My sister will never be yours. I don’t care what deal our grandfather made with your dad.”
“Hurry up.” Luca snaps his fingers at Bastian like he’s a dog. “We don’t have all day.”
Without arguing with Luca, Bastian bares his teeth to show his anger. But he doesn’t say anything. We never correct Luca in front of outsiders. We work as a team and never reveal any weaknesses. Our father says that we must present a unified front at all times. If not, others will see it as a weakness and try to take our power.
Bastian inches toward Aiden with me at his side. Between the two of us, we’ll have his ass tied to a dining chair in under a minute. So I grab one arm while Bastian takes the other.
“Get the fuck off me!” Aiden isn’t as bulky as Marcello, but he’s thick in the arms and tries to fight us. “I’m not going with you. I don’t care what my grandfather says.”
He lands a punch to my shoulder and one to Bash’s arm. We ignore it and advance on him, flipping him onto the table on his stomach. A groan escapes his throat.
Pressing Aiden’s cheek to the table, I hold him down and pin one arm behind his back. Bash takes the other and works quickly to secure the rope in place before we push Aiden into a chair. I help Bash tie the last knot to the wooden chair, giving him a proud smile.
He winks.
“Let’s go,” Luca says to the three of us, his blue eyes gleaming with mischief.
He’s always plotting something, and on a day like this, it’s got something to do with our girl.
“You can’t fucking leave me here,” Aiden snaps, his tanned skin red from struggling so hard against the restraints.
“Yes, we can,” Luca fires back. “And we will let you rot until you choose to accept your place with The Devil’s Knights.”
“Never.” Aiden rocks the chair to each side, doing his best to tip it over in the hopes the wood will snap. “I want no part of your fucked up secret society.”
“Too bad.” Luca clicks his tongue. “You’re going to be a Knight. It’s your birthright.”
“Nah.” Aiden shakes his head, spit dripping from his lip. “Fuck that. I never wanted to be a Wellington. I wasn’t born into this shit, and I want nothing to do with it.”
Before Alex and Aiden moved to Devil’s Creek, their last name was Fox. They were so far removed from our world they didn’t even know it existed. But he’s had six years to get used to his future.
“Your sister will be our queen,” Luca reminds him, producing a bandana from his pocket. “Whether you like it or not. And you will bow at her fucking feet when I crown her. So get your fucking shit together because you have one week.” He pulls the banana over Aiden’s mouth and ties it behind his head to keep him quiet. “If you’re not in Devil’s Creek by then, I will send the Knights after you. And you don’t want that.”
The Devil’s Knights have never had a queen before. Knights swear an oath to protect each other at all costs. And once Alex becomes our queen, every Knight will be bound to her in a ceremony we callLegare.
Luca glances down at his cell phone and snaps his fingers at us. “She’s here.”
Of course, he knows. Luca has been keeping tabs on Alex for years.
Every text.
Every call.
Every email.
He has all of her chat and Internet search history. We know every dirty secret and all of her desires. There’s nothing we don’t know about Alexandrea Wellington.
I waited too long to claim my Pet, and as Alex enters the apartment, my heart beats faster. My pulse pounds in my ears. The blood turns to fire in my veins.
Whenever she’s near, I get the same feeling as a kill. My blood pumps faster, rushing to my cock.
We stand in the living room, dressed in black Brioni suits. The four of us line up to block her path. She’ll go straight to Aiden once she realizes he’s not coming to save her.
Not happening.
Alex’s pretty, pink lips part, her eyes moving to each of us. And when they land on me, I lick my lips. My expression says,Hello, Pet. I’ve missed you.
