Page 56 of Sebastian

“Hey, you were great.” Sebastian smooths his palms over my lapels.

I sneak my hands under the hem of his suit jacket to settle them over his hips. “You were great. I was just arm candy.”

“Sebby!”

Sebastian turns and breaks out into a smile. “Hey!”

Three guys approach us. I’ve seen one of them before… in one of Sebastian’s videos. He’s tall and slim with dark hair and dark eyes. Noel, I think his name is.

The one who came running up to Sebastian is shorter, petite with dark makeup around his eyes. He pulls Sebastian into a hug and rocks them side to side. The last guy is quieter, blond with striking green eyes, and he hangs half a step back with a small smile on his lips.

“Christian, let me introduce you to my friends.” Sebastian points to each one. “Noel, Rhys, and Hayden. Guys, this is Chris Preacher!”

These are the guys he goes to brunch with, the ones he’s discussed me with, and they crowd around me like they’re comparing me to what Sebastian’s told them.

“Hello, so nice to finally see you.” Rhys gives me the once-over. “You’re taller in person.”

Sebastian coughs and I have to wonder whether “tall” is a euphemism for something else.

“Hi, great meeting you.” Hayden shakes my hand with a firm grip, then steps back again.

It’s Noel who’s studying me with a shrewd look. He doesn’t seem like a guy who misses anything. I give him a nod and he gives me a nod back.

“We’re all over here!” Rhys waves for us to follow him.

Noel falls into step next to me. “So, you and Sebastian, huh?”

I shoot him a look out of the corner of my eyes. “Yeah.”

“I’ve never seen him like this before.”

“Oh? Like what?”

“Having so much fun.”

I don’t know what I’d expected Noel to say, but it certainly wasn’t that. What does it even mean?

Noel slows to a stop and I stop with him. His voice is low when he speaks. “Sebastian tends to get himself wound up a lot. But since you two started hanging out, he’s been a lot more relaxed.” Noel stares me in the eyes. “It’s good for him.”

I stare back. He thinks I’m good for Sebastian. The thought makes my chest puff up and my heart does a few somersaults in a row.

Noel and I share a moment of understanding before he turns to head toward our table. He stops and leans in toward me. “By the way, it wasn’t because of a limp dick, was it?”

I reel back. “What?”

He shakes his head and waves his hand. “Never mind. I’m sure it was nothing.” Then he leaves me to take his seat next to Rhys and Hayden.

“What was that about?” Sebastian asks when I sit down next to him.

“Something about a limp dick?”

He groans and buries his face in his hands. “Oh my god.”

“Do you know what it means?”

He shoots Noel a dirty look and Noel smirks. “Yeah, I’ll tell you about it later.”
