I wake up alone, the bed beside me cold. I know they wanted to let me sleep, but glancing at the clock, I realize I slept the morning away again.

After a quick freshen up, I move down the stairs. All three of my men are on the couch, eyes glued to the TV. The closer I get, the more I can hear the television.

“Three victims were found inside the old haunted barn attraction when it went up in flames, in the morning after a huge raver, kicking off summer,” the lady on the television states.

Heat rushes over my body as three pictures show up on the screen, but it doesn’t hurt me as much as I thought it would.

“Among those victims, Oliver—”

“Are we going to get caught?” I ask, cutting off the lady on the news, but she doesn’t stop talking about them.

Quickly, Kyler shuts off the television, and Jax throws up his feet on the coffee table, yawning, “We never get caught, baby.”

Rounding the couch, I whack his toes off the table. “Down, boy.”

He growls like a dog, daggers shooting at me from his eyes. Before I can sit on the open part of the couch between Evander and Ky, he wraps his arms around my waist and pulls me into his lap.

A gasp escapes me as he pulls my back against his chest.

“Watch it before you actually end up bruised this time,” he warns.

Heat rushes to my core, making me feel hot and breathless. Jax is almost bat shit crazy, and he loves to inflict pain.

His chest rumbles with a chuckle at my reaction, but he doesn't let me go, wrapping one arm around me. I curl up a bit, bringing my legs up onto his lap. His hand grabs my thigh and keeps me close to him.

Evander beams at me from the other side of the couch. “Good morning. Are you hungry?”

I nod, and Evander pops up. He leans over and gives me a quick kiss before going to the kitchen.

“Where did the fire come from?” I whisper, glancing at the pyromaniac, Jax.

Jax scoffs, eyes dropping over my body. “I didn’t do it this time. We called in a favor.”

My brows pull before I realize the only favor would be from someone they know. Then it hits me.Blair. “You guys involved her?!”

“I thought we were keeping this a secret!” Evander shouts from the open kitchen as he prepares his ingredients.

“She was involved from the beginning,” Kyler explains. “She knew our whole plan, and it was her idea to help.”

My mouth closes. The whole time, Blair knew I only came back for revenge over my rapists, and she supported it.

She supported our crazy.

“Remind me to send her a gift or two,” I mutter to myself, thinking about what she might want.

Jax sighs, looking at his watch. “I have to leave soon. I have a few appointments today and tomorrow.”

Our eyes meet. That would mean we wouldn’t really see each other until tomorrow night. My eyes glance down to the moth on his neck, taking in all the line work he did on himself. For an apprentice tattoo, he did that on himself. “Do… you have any openings for tomorrow night?”

He straightens a bit. “You want an appointment with me, Little Mouse?”

Ky sends Evander a look from the couch.

I nod.
