“Will do. I’ll talk to you later, baby.”
We hang up, but until she gets home and she lets me know, I’ll be waiting to make sure I hear from her.
I get up from the couch and head to the Keurig in the kitchen to brew myself a cup of coffee. I’m a little sleepy and I want to make sure I don’t miss Giuliana’s text.
Once the hot cup of java is in my hands, I make my way back to the couch and go to the Netflix app on the TV. Maybe I’ll watch someNailed It. Maybe I should just get caught up onThe Flash. I am a little behind on my shows, but it’s all good.
I decide on the latter and ten minutes into my show and almost half a cup of coffee gone, my phone dings. It’s a text notification, but can it already be Giules saying she’s home? It seems a bit premature.
I look and see it’s my sister.
Just confirming my niece will be here for dinner tomorrow night?
I chuckle.
Yes, Ma’am. I should be there by 5:30 with her.
I was going to ask you something, but maybe it’s not a good idea since it’s a school night?
What’s up?
Would she be able to stay the night? I can get her ready for school and drop her off there in the morning?
That’s totally fine with me. I’m sure Lily will love it!
Great! I have a really fun night planned for the both of us. You, bro, make sure not to miss her too much.
:( I can’t promise I won’t LOL.
LOL I’ll see you tomorrow. Have a good night!
Night, sis.
I place my phone down next to me, but as I do, it dings again. Maybe she forgot to say something. I know Lily is going to be thrilled to see her aunt tomorrow and sleep over at her house. She loves sleeping over. This actually works out great because now I won’t have to be rushed to drop Giules off back home after dinner. We can take our time and maybe even sneak in a movie or two afterward.
As I pick my phone back up, I see it’s my love.
Hey, baby. I’m home.
Great! I’m glad you made it there safely. All okay over there?
Yes, I’m just going to change into my PJs and then relax until bed. What are you up to?
Drinking some coffee and watching TV. Guess what?
;) what?
Cheryl is going to have Lily for the night, so you’ll be able to stay for as long as you like tomorrow night… I won’t have to rush to bring you right back home.
That sounds great! Any ideas on what we’re going to do?
Oh, I have a few of those in mind.
I figured we could cuddle on the couch and watch some movies? How’s that sound?
Like the perfect evening! I can’t wait! <3
Me neither, sweetheart.
