I plant my feet on either side of hers and smile down at her as she stands in between my legs. “Yes, Serenity?”

She blinks twice and her smile turns into a straight line. “I think it’s happening.”

“What’s that?” I search her beautiful dark eyes. Honestly, I could stay like this forever. She’s so beautiful, and she makes me feel things that for a long time I thought had died when Maddie did.

She sucks in a deep breath. “I think I’m falling again.” She breaks into a smile.

Falling again? As in falling in love?

How crazy is it that I’m feeling the same way about her? Is it a coincidence that the exact same thing is dawning on me as well this evening?

I can’t hide the smile as it forms on my face. I kiss her on the forehead and say, “Sweetheart, I’m already there.”

I lean down and our lips come together in a passionate kiss. I feel her writhing in my arms as I kiss her into the night, and honestly, it’s one of the best feelings I’ve ever experienced in a long time.
