Across the aisle, the rest of my family sits. Maddox, Braxton, and Liam. Jamieson, Oliver, and their parents, Tyler and Gracie. Tinsley and Noah and even Tinsley’s parents, Braden and Sierra. Ivy lifts a hand in the air and waves excitedly from her spot beside Braxton, and I giggle, not surprised she found herself with an invitation.
Everyone I love is here. It’s small and quaint and intimate. It’s everything I could have asked for, all planned by the man I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with.
I feel like I can’t breathe when Dad kisses my cheek and hands me over to Cooper. There’s too much love in my chest. Too much happiness.
The minister is watching us with a gentle expression, smiling, but he fades to the background when Cooper whispers, “You are a vision.”
“I knew there had to be something important happening for you to venture deep into my side of the closet and find me an outfit.”
His smile is blinding. So fucking bright. “I took a risk today with this, but I figured it fit the theme of our relationship. Loving you was the greatest risk I’ve ever taken. I would take it over and over again if you were the reward.”
I let out a watery laugh and lean my forehead against his chest for a moment. “You’re so damn poetic. Fuck, I’ve already cried too much, and I’m pretty sure the bride isn’t supposed to be crying before the ceremony actually starts.”
“This one can do whatever she wants. This is your wedding.”
Looking back up at him, I say, “Our wedding. Our proper wedding. God, I love how that sounds.”
He glides his knuckle over my cheekbone. “You know what I love the sound of?”
“What?”
He leans close, lips touching my ear. “Mrs. Adalyn White.”
My cheeks flush as I giggle and nod eagerly at the minister. “Let’s move this ceremony along, then, yeah? I have a last name to take.”
And twenty minutes later, I take that last name with pride before letting my husband carry me down the aisle as our loved ones fill the yard with cheers and congratulations.
Today marks the next chapter of our love story. And if the first one was any hint as to how the rest of them will be . . . I’m in for a lifetime of bliss.
The End
