Page 103 of Parker

A slow grin formed, the way they’d divided themselves up reminding him more of a junior high dance than a cookout. One he and Quinn had planned as a modest gesture of thanks to those same men. Only they weren’t just men, they were heroes.

In every sense of the word.

Trace, Kellen, Asher, Greyson, Rhys… Each one of those men had put their lives on the line to save Quinn. And before her, there had been others.

So many others.

First during their time in the military, and now, with RISC. No matter what branch they’d served, or what team these men choose to serve, one thing was abundantly clear…

Parker was beyond blessed to have them in his life. Not only because they’d played an intricate role in rescuing Quinn, but because they were his friends. His brothers.

And as far as he was concerned, the men of Charlie Team—and the women who loved them—would forever be his family.

“Hey, you.”

Speaking of family…

He turned toward the raspy voice that drove him wild to see his fiancée walking toward him.

Fiancée. Damn, I really do like the sound of that.

Blonde hair blew with the whispers of the wind as eyes more beautiful than the endless ocean behind her found his. Parker’s insatiable cock twitched, the zipper of his purposely gawdy pink flamingo shorts growing tight at the sight of her in that simple-yet-sexy sundress.

Of course, it wouldn’t matter what she had on. He was always like this when she was around. Didn’t matter that he spent every night reacquainting himself with every inch of her mouthwatering body.

Quinn appeared, and he got hard.

But who could blame him? The woman was the whole package. Brilliant, brave, sweet and sexy… And by the grace of God, she was his.

I really am one lucky son of a bitch.

“Whatcha doing hiding out in here all by yourself?”

“Not hiding.” Parker pulled her in for a kiss. “Just watching.”

“I know.” She kissed him back. “It’s kinda creepy.”

Parker barked out a laugh. “God, I love you.”

“I know that, too.”

Her response—paired with an ornery grin—made him laugh even harder. “So what’s the verdict?”

The question referred to an earlier conversation they’d had—after the mindblowing round of afternoon sex, but before the arrival of their guests.

From over her shoulder, Quinn looked back at the group of RISC women and smiled. “I like them.” Her gaze returned to his. “They’re all really nice.”

“Told you.”

She gave her pretty eyes a teasing roll. “Yeah, yeah…you were right.”

“Usually am.” He winked. “So what have you learned so far?”

“Well, let’s see.” Quinn began listing off all the things. “Mia is an absolute doll. Emma said she and Trace want us to start coming to the annual Charlie Team Christmas parties. Taylor invited us to come see her and Greyson’s house in the country, and Victoria…” Quinn stared back at him pointedly. “That woman is a total badass. Oh, that reminds me.” She snapped her fingers. “They’re all planning a girls’ weekend for a few months from now, and they invited me to come.”

The excitement in her voice warmed his heart in all sorts of ways. “That sounds like a lot of fun.”

“I thought so, too.”
