“So, you’ll do it?” she asks.
I run my hands over my face. I shouldn’t. I really shouldn’t.
“Yes.”
She squeals. “Oh my god, thank you, Bode.”
She’s literally blinking back tears.
“No one can know about this,” I say.
“Of course,” she says. “I’m not going to tell anyone.”
“Do you have...”
“Condoms, yes,” she answers.
I nod. “Okay. Good.”
She moves to the chair closer to me and asks, “When are we going to do this?”
Not this second. I need to wrap my head around this.
She doesn’t wait for me to answer and says, “Tonight?”
“Okay.” I pick up my coffee and take a sip. I’m trying to seem calm even though I feel nothing but calm right now. I feel like I’m barreling toward a cliff and should hit the brakes, but yet I’m not for some stupid reason.
She squeals again.
“Is there anything I should know?” she asks, her eyes wide.
I cough. “What? I’m assuming you know the basics, right?”
She laughs. “Of course. I meant about you – like any kinks or whatever.”
I choke on the coffee I just drank. “What? No, um, thank you, but...that’s not.”
I don’t even know how to finish.
“Okay, I just want to make sure it’s a good experience for you.” She’s holding eye contact with me – looking so beautiful and innocent.
I feel a little flutter in my stomach. “That’s kind. I think we need to keep things pretty simple.”
“Right.”
She leans back, a smile growing on her face. “Could we do it earlier? I don’t want to wait until tonight.”
I shrug. We have nothing planned for the day. “I guess.”
She stands up quickly. “Come to my room in an hour.”
Before I can talk my way out of it, she’s gone.
