He stops for a second and looks up. “Was that a goodfuckor a badfuck?”

I laugh.

“Did you like that, or do you want me to stop?” he asks.

I smile down at him. “It was a goodfuck. Don’t stop.”

He looks relieved. “Thank god.”

As soon as I’m settled, he resumes. He’s taking his time, teasing me and bringing me right to the edge. With a thrust of his finger and a swirl of his tongue, he sends me over.

“Bode,” I moan.

I can’t form any more words because I just keep coming and coming. He keeps his tongue firmly on me as I ride wave after wave until my body stills, and I feel like I’ve melted. He settles beside me again and pulls me against his chest. I’m still gasping for air, and I swear my vision is blurred.

“What the fuck?” I mutter more to myself than to him.

He chuckles.

“How?”

He kisses my forehead. “That good?”

“You should warn a girl. I didn’t know you could dothatwith your tongue.”

I whisper. “Did I come more than once?”

He laughs. “Yes.”

I look up at him, completely serious and say, “I didn’t know I could do that.”

“You still have a lot to learn,” he says.

“No joke,” I reply.

We hardly leave the bedroom all weekend. Sunday looms over me, but I keep pushing it away. I know we’ll need to talk. I know I’ll need to face the world again, but for now, it feels so good to escape.

Brooklyn: Where’s Juno?

Zadie: Yeah. I haven’t seen her in a few days. She’s been suspiciously quiet.

Juno: I went to San Fran.

Declan: To visit Eli?

Eli: She told me she was coming next week. She’s not here now. Juno. Where are you?

Juno: Um. I thought we talked about me having some privacy.

Eli: Fine. You still coming on Monday?

Juno: Yes. I’m coming to you on Monday, Eli.

Eli: Oh, good. You had me worried.

Juno: Worried?
