"That's amazing, Ally. You've come so far and I'm so proud of you," Ashlee says, smiling at me.

"Thanks, Ashlee. I couldn't have done it without your support," I say gratefully.

As we finish up our breakfast, Ashlee reminds me that I start my residency program the next day and we need to get some new clothing for the occasion. We quickly finish our meals and head to our rooms to get dressed. I decide to wear a simple but elegant black dress and matching heels. Ashlee helps me with my hair and makeup, and I feel confident and ready for the day ahead.

We go to the nearby shopping mall and spend hours trying on different outfits. Ashlee helps me pick out some beautiful dresses, skirts, blouses, and shoes that are perfect for my new job. After a long day of shopping, we return home exhausted but satisfied with our purchases. Ashlee insists on cooking dinner, and we spend the evening chatting and catching up on each other's lives. As we retire to our respective rooms for the night, I’m reminded that I have such a wonderful sister and I feel ready and excited for my new job, and I know that with Ashlee's support, I can achieve anything including excelling during my residency training to be a neurologist.

Dante

Finally, home in Virgina after an exhausting business trip to Europe. The part in Greece was the best. I remind myself as I wake up to the sound of birds chirping outside my window. The warm rays of the sun filter in, casting a golden glow on the wooden floors. I stretch my arms and legs, feeling my body awaken from its slumber.

As I make my way to the bathroom, my manservant, James, greets me with a warm smile. "Good morning, sir. Did you sleep well?" he asks in his usual polite tone.

"Yes, I did, James. Thank you for asking," I reply, returning the smile.

After a refreshing shower, I slip into my swimwear and head to the backyard. The sight of my glistening blue pool brings a smile to my face. I take a few laps, feeling the water enveloping my body and calming my mind.

As I emerge from the pool, my phone rings. It's my colleague and good friend, Dr. Patel. "Hey, Dante. How are you doing?" he asks.

"I'm doing well. How about you?" I reply, making my way to the lounge chairs.

"I'm good, thanks. Listen, I wanted to discuss something important with you. I've been doing some research on a new drug that could potentially cure Alzheimer's disease. I think we should collaborate on a study," Dr. Patel suggests.

"That sounds interesting. Let's meet up and discuss it further after my introduction at my new office," I agree, feeling a spark of excitement at the prospect of a breakthrough in Alzheimer's research.

After our conversation, I do some light exercise and head to the sitting room. James enters with a tray of breakfast, placing it on the table beside me. "Thank you, James. It looks delicious," I comment, eyeing the plate of fluffy scrambled eggs and crispy bacon.

"You're welcome, sir. Is there anything else I can get for you?" James asks, his eyes flickering with a hint of concern.

"No, thank you. That's all for now," I reply, sensing his worry. "Is everything alright, James?"

He hesitates for a moment before speaking. "Forgive me for being forward, sir, but I've noticed that you've been working very long hours and neglecting your personal life. I worry about your health and well-being."

I'm taken aback by his words but also grateful for his concern. "Thank you for bringing that up, James. You're right. I've been so focused on my work that I've neglected other aspects of my life. I'll make an effort to change that," I promise, truly grateful for having such a loyal and caring employee.

As I finish my breakfast, I turn on the TV and browse through the channels. I settle on a classic film and lose myself in the storyline. James returns to the room, clearing away the dishes and tidying up.

"Is there anything else I can get for you, sir?" James asks, interrupting my thoughts.

I take a moment to consider his question before replying. "Actually, James, I wanted to get your opinion on something. I have been appointed as the Chief Neurologist at the new hospital, and I have to go in for an introduction to the staff later today. I'm feeling a bit nervous, to be honest," I confess, feeling a knot form in my stomach.

James gives me a reassuring smile. "Don't worry, sir. You'll do great. Just remember to be confident and speak clearly, as you always do. The staff will respect you more if you exude confidence," he advises, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Thank you, James. I appreciate your support and advice," I reply, already feeling a bit calmer.

James heads out, leaving me to finish my breakfast in peace. After a few more bites, I make my way to my room and dress up in a formal suit. As I glance at the clock, I realize that it's almost noon. I grab my car keys and head out, equally excited and nervous.

The drive to the hospital is uneventful, and I arrive in the parking lot with a few minutes to spare. I take a deep breath and step out of the car, feeling the warm sun on my face. As I make my way to the entrance, I can feel my heart rate increasing with each step.

Inside, I am greeted by a friendly receptionist who directs me to the conference room where the introduction is taking place. I enter the large conference room and I am amazed by the furniture style and the view. I take a seat at the head of the table, feeling a bit intimidated by the group of doctors and nurses gathered around me.

I take a moment to compose myself before standing up to address the group. "Good afternoon, everyone. I am Dr. Dante Tayler, the new Chief Neurologist, and I am honored to have the opportunity to work with such a talented and dedicated team here. As the Chief Neurologist, I am committed to providing the best care possible to our patients and to supporting each and every one of you in your roles. I am ready to work with you all as a team to take our division to the next level."

I pause for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing. "I understand that change can be difficult, and that there may be some concerns about my appointment. I want to assure you that I am here to work alongside you, to learn from you, and to collaborate with you. Together, I know we can make great strides in improving the quality of care we provide to our patients and excelling in the education and training we provide to our student doctors."

As I continue my speech, I can see that the group is warming up to me. There are nods of approval and a few smiles around the table. I feel a sense of relief and pride that I was able to address them with confidence and sincerity.

Suddenly, the door bursts open, causing me to break my train of thought. I turn my head to see who it is, and my heart skips a beat as I see Ally walking into the room. For a moment, I'm stunned. My mind reels with the memories of the last time we were together in Greece, just few weeks back, the passion we shared and the way we left without saying goodbye. I had tried very hard to contact her, but I had lost her number, and I had given up on ever seeing her again.
