She lets go, and I pull the sheet down. I reach her thighs, and she jerks with a laugh. “Oooh, that’s cold.”

I swat her hip with it. “It wasn’t.” I toss the cloth into the laundry basket and lean over to pick her up. “Okay, then. We’re going with Plan B.”

She’s staring at my cock, licking her lips. “What’s Plan B?”

I put a hand on each side of her head on the bed. “Plan B is taking a shower together. A hot one. And then we come back to bed.”

She circles her hands around my neck. “You want to shower with me?”

I chuckle. “I want to do everything with you.”

She leans up and kisses me before biting my lower lip. “I like it. Let’s do Plan B.”

She starts to sit up, and I pick her up instead. She squeals with laughter as I bring her against my chest. The smile on her face is everything. “You know I can walk, right?”

I stalk proudly across the room with her in my arms. “Yeah, I know. But why would you when I’d rather have you in my arms?”

She tightens her hold on me. “Right. I agree. I’d rather be in your arms too.”

I pick up the pace. The sooner I get her clean, the sooner I get to go back to bed, hold her in my arms, and have her again.

Chapter22

Elle

After waking up with Huddy’s head between my legs, I’ve been on a high ever since. Two orgasms later, I eventually fell back asleep, and now I stretch my arms over my head as the smell of bacon fills the room.

The door pushes all the way open, and Huddy comes in with a plate and a cup. “You’re up.”

I sit up in bed, not bothering to cover myself. It seems he’s proven himself to me because I’m sitting here topless without a care in the world. “Yeah, I’m up, and I’m starving.”

He sits down on the bed next to me and sets the cup on the nightstand before handing me the plate. I take a bite of the bacon and moan. “This is either really good or I really am starving.”

He’s watching me closely. “There’s no way life gets any better than this.”

I take another bite and smile as I chew. “Oh yeah?”

He nods. “Yeah, you topless in my bed and bacon. I mean, how can it get better?”

I hold out the plate to him, and he bypasses the toast and goes straight for a strip of bacon before inhaling it in one bite.

I take another bite, and it’s the perfect chewy, crispy way I love my bacon. “Mmm, this is good, Huddy.”

He nods as he searches my face. His eyes drop to my chest, and then he forces his gaze up to my face again. “So when you’re done, we’re going to talk, okay?”

I knew this was coming, but I try to sway him anyway. I push out my chest just a little and don’t even feel guilty doing it. “You sure you want to talk now? I can think of a few things we could be doing instead of talking.”

He groans, takes the plate away, and sets it on the nightstand before climbing into the bed next to me. He covers my body with his. “We’re going to do all those things too. But after we talk.”

I let out a sigh. “Okay.”

He wraps his arms and legs around me and pulls me flush against his body. “Talk to me.”

I rest my head on his chest. I hate to talk about this, but the truth is, I felt like I haven’t had anyone I could talk about it to. Now I have this man that is determined to get it out of me and wants to what? Protect me? I take a deep breath and start talking.

“It was three months ago. I had just gotten off work and had stopped at a little corner market. I didn’t live in the best part of town, and I didn’t usually stop at places close to my apartment, but I was exhausted after a twelve-hour shift. I thought I’d grab something for dinner and go home, no big deal.” I pause and try to collect my thoughts.

“And?” he asks, his hand trailing up and down my back.
