It's his turn to shoot me a dirty look. Tit for tat, brother.

"I was leaving work and ran into Colm on my way home." Yeah, he isn't going to tell me that wasn't planned. I know him way too well. "He was nice enough to walk me home so I didn't have to put up with Jeff." She rolls her eyes and her and Harper give each other a look that clearly says there is more to this story than either of them want to tell us.

"My pleasure, I'm always happy to help a woman in distress." I roll my eyes at him. He's such a goob, I can't believe we are even related. "Hey, do you ladies want to hang out with us this Friday after work?"

Both women are quiet for a second. They look at one another and a silent conversation is being had again. I sit back and wait for my brother to do his thing. He wasn't wrong when he said he was the more social of the two of us. I prefer long evenings in. I look over at Harper. Long evenings in would be fucking awesome with Harper.

"It's not like an official thing or anything. I just thought we could keep the creeps off the two of you. I mean you girls are way too pretty not to be hit on constantly and if I do say so myself, me and my brother are equally pretty so...creeps are always a problem."

Harley laughs and without taking her eyes off her sister she gives us our answer. "We would love that, wouldn't we, Harper?" I almost feel sorry for letting Harley pressuring her but I'm getting what I want out of it so I'm not putting up any fuss. "I mean one of the things she constantly gripes about are the handsy men in the club and with the two of you to look after us we wouldn't have to put up with men like that."

Harper reluctantly agrees but then brings up an important aspect of our future date with the women, "But if you go back to the same club you got in a fight won't they call the cops again or bar you from coming in or something?"

It's our turn to look at one another. I answer this time. "No worries, I have the perfect place for us to go." I tell them the name of the club me and my brother are thinking of taking them to. "Have you all heard of it?"

"Of course we've heard about it but isn't that place a little...pricey." Harley looks to Colm but is asking both of us I'm sure. "I've heard it's hard to get into also."

"I think we can manage. We know the owners." My brother is smiling like the smart ass he is because we are the owners of the club we're talking about. It was a business venture that the two of us got into just this past year. Everything Harley says is true. It is an upscale club that stays full most weekends and even throughout the week business is good.

"Perfect! We'll see you guys this Friday." Harper doesn't look so sure that she wants to meet up with us. I wonder if it's because of what happened with me and her or if it's just because she's not really into the club scene the way her sister and my brother are. I myself don’t go very often but this is an opportunity to spend more time with her so I am definitely going to be there this Friday. "Do you guys want us to meet you there or...?" Harley's question pulls me out of my own thoughts.

"No, we'll pick you guys up. That way we don't have to worry about trying to find each other." My brother's hand lands on my shoulder and I see him nodding out of the corner of my eye agreeing that we don't want these ladies out of our sight.

Now all we have to do is try to make it through the work week without stalking them.

Chapter Five

____________

Harper

I almost fake being sick so I can stay at home but Harley would see right through it. Hell, she would probably just invite the guys over to spend the night in if I tried. Not that I mind having them around but last time me and Cade were in the same room I was topless and we were stuck together. As embarrassing as that is what's even worse is I can't seem to be around the man without making a damned fool out of myself. I mean for God's sake I met him by falling into him because I couldn't walk.

Now Harley has me in a short skirt and heels too high for comfort again. There is no way I am making it through the night without doing something awful. The guys aren't late either. They are right on time which means me and my sister are late. I had to rush to get ready after work and Harley is always ready to go party. She opens the door for the guys and asks them to wait for just a minute while I finish getting ready.

I hear them talking in the living room and think about calling this whole thing off again. It feels too much like a date and I've never been good at those either. Just look at my ex. He broke up with me because I “wasn't giving him what he needed”. Which basically means I wasn't giving him sex. My thoughts take me back to the 'incident'.

I huff out a sigh as I think about how different Cade acted when he found out I had never had sex before. He couldn't get away from me fast enough. Of course, that might have been because I stupidly lashed out and made both of us fall right in front of his brother and my sister. It could also be the fact that all men are dogs. I really, really don't want to think that's true.

"Hey Harper, the boys are here. Get your ass out here." I smile at my sister's loudness before getting up and going into the living room. Harley is sitting on the arm of the couch and Colm is looking up at her like she might have hung the moon. For just a moment the two of them have my whole attention but then movement across the room draws my eyes away from them.

Fuck Cade's hot! What was I thinking about before I looked over and saw him sprawled out in an overstuffed armchair? Both twins are in black again and both look the same but I can totally tell them apart. Cade has a narrower face and softer eyes compared to Colm's. Cade's eyes are bluer too. His dark shirt is stretched across his chest putting other t-shirts to shame. I have to work to not let myself drool.

"Wow, you look...," It isn't Cade who says it so I have to shift my attention to his brother, "ready to party!"

"Thanks." Colm's a huge flirt like Harley. He doesn't mean anything by the compliment other than that I look nice.

Cade steps up beside of me and I'm shocked that I didn't hear him get up. "Ready to go?"

"Sure. Sorry I kept everyone waiting." I pull my lip in to bite on it.

"No worries, sis, come on." The term sis takes me by utter surprise but maybe Colm calls every female sis. I step up behind Harley and make it just out the door before I trip on the rug in the hallway. I would have hit my knees if Cade's hands hadn't been there to catch me.

"Thanks." God, there is still time to turn around and go back inside and hide. Harley knows what I'm thinking and takes my hand so I can't turn back. I guess most of the night will be me playing the solo game of 'how many times can Harper make an ass out of herself tonight?"

Once we're at the car both of us go for the backseat giving the brothers the front. It is after all their car. Harley leans in to whisper to me, "He's not been able to take his eyes off you this entire time." I look up and follow her gaze to meet Cade's intense eyes in the rearview mirror. Harley speaks without moving her mouth and keeping her smile bright, "He's practically eye-fucking you. God, that's hot."

I suck in air at her words and quickly look away. I push her shoulder and give her a hard look that tells her I think she's full of shit. "He's just waiting for me to fall on my face again. He probably thinks I'm a walking hazard as many times as I've tripped and fallen around him."
