“I need to taste you,” he growled against her breast.
“Yes, please,” she begged, wanting every single thing Russ had to offer when it came to pleasure.
With a quick swipe of his arm, he cleared her desk and leaned her back against the cool hardwood. He pushed her legs farther apart with the palms of his hands. He kissed a path up her stockings, reaching the clasps of her garters.
His calloused hands massaged her thighs as his mouth neared her dripping pussy. The sound of fabric ripping reached her ears just before Russ’s mouth landed on her core. He lapped up her juices and circled her clit with his tongue.
“Oh!” she cried out.
Gia heard a loud banging. Russ disappeared. Her office vanished as her eyes popped open. “Shit!” she shouted, jumping out of bed and began flying around her room in a panic, looking for the outfit she’d laid out to wear to the airport.
“I’ll be right there!” she shouted. The car had arrived to pick her up.
“Fuck! Fuck! Fuck!” she chanted as she tossed on a pair of leggings, a bra, and a sweater. Grabbing a hairclip, she twisted her hair into a large pile on top of her head and placed the clip around it. She grabbed her bags and figured the driver could load those while she filled up a coffee cup and quickly used the restroom. She’d have to do her makeup in the car before she got to the airport. A shudder passed through her at the thought of Russ seeing her before she’d had a chance to pull herself together.
Yanking open the front door, Gia gasped. “I thought there was a car picking me up this morning?”
“I figured I’d pop by and give you a ride since I knew where you lived, and it’s on my way,” Russ said.
“Oh. Sorry. I just need a minute to uh …” Gia was ready to lose it. She was supposed to have at least a half hour to compose herself on the way to the airport before she had to face Russ.
The sexy dream she’d had of him popped into her head, and she pushed that bitch back as hard and as fast as she possibly could.
Nope. She was not going there. That was for later. Not right now.
Despite pushing the dream back, she felt a blush cover her face.
“Take your time. I’m early,” he said, stepping inside.
“Can I get you a coffee?” she asked, heading for the kitchen.
“I’m good. I have one in the SUV. But thank you.”
“Just give me two minutes, and I’ll be ready,” Gia said while quietly freaking the fuck out. After that dream, her nerves were raw. Her skin felt too tight, stretching around her body. She felt like she was about to explode.
It was just her luck. To have a sexy-ass dream about Russ and then have to face him completely unprepared.
Awesome.
FOURTEEN
RUSS
Russ wanted to pull Gia into his arms and calm her. She had seemed skittish ever since she opened the front door this morning. After they had taken their first-class seats, Gia stared out the window, waiting to take off. She hadn’t said so much as a single word.
Her hands shook. She fidgeted in her seat. Maybe booking this trip so soon after she had started hadn’t been the smartest idea. He could have easily pushed the meeting with this particular client back, but there was also a two-day security convention he’d booked months ago.
But there was more to it. Russ wanted the time alone with Gia. Getting her out of the office, out of their normal work environment, meant getting to know the real Gia. Not the person she was at the office. Not that he disliked that person, he just wanted to spend some time with her, away from everything.
Hell, the meeting they were scheduled to have with the client on Friday would take a whopping two hours. The conference, maybe three hours between Tuesday and Thursday. That gave Russ several days to wine, dine, and take Gia out on the town to impress her.
Maybe he did have an agenda, but he couldn’t seem to help himself. The only thing that his wolf wanted was to spend time with his mate. Was that such a bad thing?
“You ready?” Russ asked as the jet began to taxi down the runway.
“Not really. I don’t know why I’m so nervous. I feel like a moron. Millions of people fly every day. Here I am, feeling like I’m going to have a panic attack, and we’re still on the ground.” She laughed nervously.
Russ reached over the armrest and twisted his fingers around hers. Her hand felt so small, so fragile against his skin. “I’m right here, and I’ll be with you the whole way to explain it to you.”
