“You could just entertain me by sleeping with me all day,” Seb said. “Best of both worlds.”
“I’ve got to work,” I said.
I went into the apartment.
The logical adult side of me said I was doing the right thing.
I came here to do a job. To advance my career. To better myself.
The other side of me… the one that had been lusting after Seb longer than I cared to actually admit…
What the hell was I doing?
Seb wanted me in bed all day?
Seb wanted to spend time together?
How could I possibly say no to that?
I reached for a folder on the coffee table.
I told myself to focus on work.
Work during the day. Play with Seb at night.
I didn’t realize Seb was right behind me until he swiped the folder from my hand.
I spun around and he jumped back.
He held his right hand high in the air.
“Either you come hang with me today or I throw this off the balcony,” he said.
“You really think that’s going to work on me, Seb?”
Seb walked out to the balcony.
I chased after him and jumped onto his back.
He leaned against the balcony railing and I let out a yell.
I hated heights.
“Say it, April,” he said.
“You’re such an asshole!”
“No, not that. You know what I want you to say.”
I pushed off Seb’s back and he turned around.
He held his right hand off the balcony.
Did I think he would really drop that folder?
Yup.
He smirked at me.
