Maggie: Did you forget we have a secret relationship thing going on?

Declan: No. We can keep this a secret.

Maggie: I don’t know.

Declan: Come on. Send me some dates. I’ll plan something.

Maggie: You’re serious?

Declan: When do I ever joke?

Maggie: Literally all the time.

Declan: When do I joke about travel?

Maggie: Never.

Declan: See.

Maggie: Fine. I’ll send you dates.

Maggie and Declan Text Thread

Maggie: I’m starting to regret going to Paris with you.

Declan: What? You had a great time.

Maggie: I did, and I CAN’T TALK TO ANYONE ABOUT IT

Declan: Oh.

Maggie: I almost slipped and said something to Elizabeth about the Louvre the other day, and I nearly said something about the baguettes in Paris to Celeste. How am I supposed to keep this a secret forever?

Declan: Ha. I guess we should have thought about that.

Maggie: Right. You know I’m not a good liar.

Declan: You’re really not.

Maggie: I guess I’ll just have to talk with you about it.

Declan: Okay. Tell me what your favorite was.

Maggie: You’re going to think I’m nuts.

Declan: I already do. What was your favorite?

Maggie: The catacombs.

Declan: Well, maybe I’m nuts too, but the catacombs are fucking awesome.

Maggie: Yeah. They are. Creepy and amazing. I loved it.

Declan: That’s why we get along.

Maggie: I mean, I loved all of it. The stuff everyone thinks about like the Eiffel tower, Montmartre, museums, but I loved all the regular things like just walking on all the bridges and going to the local market.

Declan: That’s my favorite too.
