Eli: I knew because I caught Declan sneaking out of Maggie’s room one Christmas.

Juno: (covering eyes emoji)

Eli: And saw them making out in the basement. Also at Christmas.

Zadie: (surprised emoji)

Declan: I thought you weren’t going to tell anyone about that.

Eli: I didn’t. For years.

Brooklyn: Christmas cabin strikes its magical love spell again.

James: You know I hate secrets.

Declan: Oh, we know.

Brooklyn: I’m really happy for you Declan.

Zadie: Me too. Couldn’t have found a better woman.

Declan: Couldn’t agree with you more.

Chapter Seventy-One

Maggie

“Snap a picture of us, will you?” I hand my phone to Elizabeth.

She gives me a big smile. “Of course. We need to document Ian’s outfit.”

Declan puts his arm around my back, and I lean into him. After Elizabeth takes a few pictures, Declan says, “He looks really patriotic, doesn’t he?”

I bounce Ian on my hip. He’s wearing a seersucker romper with a matching hat – red, white and blue.

“He looks adorable,” Elizabeth says, handing me my phone.
