“Mmm, I love you,” she whispers in a sleepy tone.

I kiss her lips.

She rolls over stretching and blinking her beautiful eyes. “I’m sore,” she whispers, looking at me.

I laugh. “Sore in a good way or a bad way?”

“Oh in a very good way Mr. Starks,” Amelia teases. “It’s still early.”

“Yeah.” I grin. “You said you like sunrises … they’re spectacular over the ocean. Do you want to catch one this morning?”

“Oh …”

“Here, put this on.” I toss her my shirt. “We don’t have much time.” I pull on my shorts, watching her slip into it. It’s big on her petit frame.

She’s gorgeous in this light, relaxed against my chest. Her jasmine-laced hair tickles my senses. The sun dances across the water like the perfect walkway with a panorama backdrop of an amber and gold sky. I look out over the horizon and it’s hard to tell where the sky meets the water. The scattered clouds resemble the water. She looks down, intertwining our fingers. “The water looks cobalt blue.” I nod, enjoying this serenity.

AMELIA

We sit quietly, wrapped in each other’s arms. I’m biting my lip, contemplating the last couple of days. “This has been wonderful.” I look over my shoulder at him. “The last couple of days … here with you.” I shrug. “But I’m scared.” He wrinkles his brow, watching me. I smile softly. “I know I keep harping on this … it’s just …”

“I’ve got you. You will always have me in your corner.” Quinton kisses my neck.

I nod, toying with the hem of his shirt. “And you’re sure this isn’t some infatuation with me … a married lady?” He sighs and his body stiffens. “What if you get bored, once the thrill of my unavailability is gone?” I tighten our hands. I can’t stand the thought of losing this man.

“Is this what you think this is? An infatuation with you? Something like a conquest of a married lady?” I don’t say anything, and he rakes his fingers through his hair before clasping our hands. “Sweetheart, I’ve no shortage of women.”Oh wow, he does have an ego. “I know how that sounds, but it’s the truth.” I look down, how can I fit into his life?

“Does that mean you’ve slept with half of Jacksonville? Am I going to see someone on a daily basis that has had your impressive love making skills?” I flinch at my own words, watching our future approaching, way off in the horizon.

He balks at my words. “I’ve never made love to anyone but you. All the others were fucks. They knew that. It was just a good time.” He watches me decipher his words. “Amelia, I’m a thirty-five-year-old male who, until I met you, had zero interest in a relationship of any kind other than fulfillment of a sexual desire.”

“I love you so much Quinton that it hurts.” I turn in his arms looking at him. “I’ve never loved someone or something so much. I’ve never had something that I actually feared losing.” He strokes my face, leans down, and kisses me in a single-lip kiss.

“Well, that makes two of us. Another novelty for me.” We both laugh. “Amelia, we both dreamt of each other before we even knew the other existed. When I discovered you were married, I was devastated. I was going to do the honorable thing, and not cross that line. But then everything about you overloaded me. You’re my soulmate.” I close my eyes, savoring his one-lip kisses. “Why can’t you trust this … trust in us?” I sniffle, holding his hands; I want to so badly. “Can you do that? Can you trust us?”

I nod, softly kissing his lips.I can try.“You’re all I need … all I want, Quinton.” I rest my forehead against his.

“Good, you are too, Amelia.” I open my eyes; we’re staring at each other. “Don’t you ever think this is an infatuation?” I nod as he covers my lips with an open-mouth kiss, dipping his tongue deep and soothing. Our tongues say good morning, dancing to their own love song. “You look really sexy in my shirt,” Quinton teases, raising his eyebrows. “It looks like a dress draped on your petit frame.” I laugh at him, curling his arms deeper around me.

We both turn to the sound of footsteps. “Captain.” Quinton grins. I smile, relaxing back in his arms.

“Good morning, sir, ma’am.” He has such a friendly smile. “Catch a sunrise?”

“We did, gorgeous as usual.” Quinton kisses my temple.

“We’re making excellent time, ETA is around three this afternoon. Four if we stop and play a spell.” He grins. “Could I get you two coffee?”

“That would be great.” Quinton keeps holding me, lacing our fingers.

“Very well, I’ll call the galley.” We watch the captain leave.

QUINTON

Ihear her laughing in the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious. I’m glad she’s comfortable around me and the gang. I laugh to myself, thinking about her eating breakfast wearing only my shirt … with everyone fully dressed around the table. She’s definitely lower maintenance than Tierra or Tina. Neither of them would have done that!

“Your love bites are going to be visible in my bikini today,” she warns, opening the bathroom door wearing her new Loui Vuitton Bleu Azul Monograph jewel accented strap triangle bikini. The back has the classic clasp. It’s sleek and sexy. Her long white, thin linen flowy pants hang just right off her hips, swaying as she walks. She looks like a fucking million dollars. “Breathe,” she says as she walks by, grinning.

I didn’t even realize I was gawking at her with my mouth open. I wasn’t breathing. “You look stunning.” I grin following her like a lovesick puppy. “Turn around, let me see your tits.” She turns, rolling her eyes. “Shit!” I look up at her eyes, touching my fingertips over her bruised bites. She has several visible on each tit. “It looks like a savage had you.”
