I almost groan at the sound of my name on her lips.
“Please let me go.”
I can’t help but reach forward and sink my fingers through those thick curls. My hand cups the back of her head, my fingers tightening around her hair at the base of her scalp. I tilt her head up to force her to meet my eyes.
“Why should I?”
“Whatever this… feud is that you have with my father, it’s between you and him. I swear I don't know anything.”
Her lashes flutter and my body immediately answers her call. I feel myself growing hard in my pants. Fuck. She doesn’t know what she’sdoingto me, looking at me like that. Like she’s begging me to fuck her mouth while she looks up at me with those wide, innocent eyes of hers.
Then I remember Ava.
“If my father finds out that I’m with you, he’ll think I had something to do with Ben’s death. You need to let me go. He already thinks I had something to do with it. I need to go back to him and explain. Please…”
Immediately, my desire is replaced with anger.
“Begging for him is beneath you, Antonella.” I tighten my grip on her hair, making her wince slightly. “You will be staying here with me for as long as I please.”
She opens her mouth to argue with me, but I silence her by letting go of her hair and gathering her skirts up in my hands. I pull her up from the couch by her hands, making sure that she wasn’t going to trip over her dress, and then lead her out of my office.
Ava snorts at me, not bothering to get up from her spot to follow after us. Just as well. I wanted time with Antonella uninterrupted.
I take her into the main part of my townhouse. The large ceilings open up to catch the fading sunlight from the rafter windows above.
“You don’t need to worry about anything. Everything you could want is right here.”
She stumbles when I pull her up the stairs, her skirts tangling around her legs and forcing her to gather them up against her hip.
“You have free access to the house,” I explain when we reach the landing. “The only rule is that youcannotenter my office when it’s shut or if I’m not around. Do you understand?”
I turn to look at her, noticing her frown. She nods quietly, taking in the upstairs balcony that overlooks the large living room. I tug on her hand and move us down the hallway.
“I’ll have Ava bring up some clean clothes for you to change into, but you should shower before dinner. Get all of that makeup off you.”
I push open the door to one of the guest rooms, the one closest to my own, and lead her inside. It’s the largest guest room I have, fit with a king-sized bed, a full vanity, two large windows that face out into the city, and a full ensuite.
I turn to her. “Did you hear me?”
She nods, her eyes darting around the space curiously.
“Good.”
I pull her over towards the bathroom and lean in to flick on the lights. I let go of her arm and step back, offering my hand inside the doorframe for her to follow. She turns slightly, glancing inside while staying rooted to her spot.
“Antonella.”
She doesn’t move.
I smirk down at her. “If you don’t move,I’llmove you.”
Her eyes flit over to me. Now I’ve got her attention.
“Trust me, baby. Nothing would make me happier than your defiance.” I step towards her, making her stumble backwards. She presses her back into the wall, her eyes widening when I lean over her. “Then I’ll get to bend you over and hear you scream my name.”
She lets out a small noise when I reach around her and curl my arm around her back. I run my fingers up her spine, liking the way her body shivers against mine. She shoves her hands against my chest.
“W-What—?”
