Rush
Iwas uncomfortable as fuck. My dick was hard, throbbing, and dripping pre-cum in my pants and I was sweating my balls off. The sun had risen higher as we traveled and between it above me, the camel below, and Zinnia in front it was like I was sitting in a damn oven.
Despite all that, I was on cloud fucking nine. She wanted me. Wanted to be in a relationship with me. I’d come to the conclusion last night that I didn’t give a shit if she was with the others as well. As long as I got my piece of the sexy ass pie that was Zinnia Hart I was happy.
Too happy at the moment. That kiss had started off my torment and now we’d been riding for hours with her delicious ass rubbing against me. I was going to have a serious case of blue balls.
Eyeing Keller as he turned around again and scowled at us—something he’d been doing about every half hour—I wondered what he’d do if I asked for a break so I could fuck Zinnia. My lips twitched as I thought about the shit storm that would start. It would almost be worth the ass chewing. If it wasn’t so damn dangerous on this road I’d take the chance.
There’d been more than one bombing in this area in the last month, courtesy of Roj. We’d figured out the timeline thanks to Colby and her men. They’d taken out one of Roj’s three compounds and he’d holed up for a couple weeks.
Since then he’d been on the fucking warpath and had doubled his attacks. U.S. Military, locals, visiting travelers, it didn’t matter, he went after them all just the same.
None of us knew what his endgame was. Why was he doing this? What did he get out of it? He wasn’t building a large following amongst the locals. He seemed to only attract the utter psychopaths. The dredges of society who didn’t fit in anywhere. Maybe he didn’t have any goals other than watching the country burn.
The questions floated through my mind as we traveled. I knew Zinnia had to be as hot as I was, but she never complained. It wasn’t her way, something I’d discovered at the base and admired.
Keller had ridden her into the ground and she never said a peep. At least not about the exercise. When he pissed her off enough, she’d lash out at him and damn that was entertaining. She gave as good as she got. The sexual tension between the two of them was like a living, breathing entity.
I wasn’t stupid. It’d been easy to see that our entire team was interested in her. This was the first time we’d all been vying for the same woman’s attention. If Keller wasn’t a complete idiot he could get in on this deal as well. I knew now that was what Colby wanted. Normally, a situation like this could tear a team apart. It's probably why Keller was so aggressive with her at the beginning. We had a unique opportunity though, one that shouldn’t be passed up.
The thought of stretching her out between us made me groan inwardly. I never thought I was the sharing kind—had never taken the others up on their offers when they’d fucked women together—but for Zinnia, apparently I was. This should have been easier for all three of the others since they’d shared before, at least in bed. But Keller seemed to be having a hard time with it. He scowled at us again. I didn’t bother to smother the contented grin that was covering my face.
The sun was lowering in the sky before Keller called for us to make camp. We’d stopped a few times during the day so we could eat and let the camels rest, but never long enough for me to take care of the building ache in my balls. I wasn’t sure when I was going to get my hands on Zinnia, but whenever it was, it wasn't going to be soon enough for me.
Keller handed out duties for us as we set up camp and I watched as Alden handed Zinnia everything she’d need to start a fire except fuel. There wasn’t any wood nearby and I saw her looking around, trying to sort out what she was supposed to use. I picked something up from the ground and walked over to her.
“Here.” I handed it to her.
She looked down at her hands. “What is this?”
“You can burn it for the fire.”
“But what is it?”
“Dried camel shit.” Her wide eyes darted up to mine. “Or maybe horse. Who knows?”
She dropped it with a sound of disgust. “Youdidn’tjust hand me poop!”
I laughed at the look on her face. “I thought you were a field operative before?”
“I was, but we either had plenty of trees around or we carried fire logs.” She glowered at me and walked over to one of the water jugs we had. She dumped the liquid over one hand then the other.
I laughed and shook my head. “Don’t be such a girl.”
She stuck her tongue out at me, but I saw her answering smile before she turned away from me again.
“Don’t use shit for the fire we’re going to be cooking over,” Alden said, walking up with a pile of fire logs.
I knew he had them, I’d just been yanking Zinnia’s chain. It might come to a point where we’d have to resort to burning dry dung, but for now Alden had us stocked up on the logs. They were mostly made of sawdust and wax compacted together and they put off less smoke than burning wood, or shit. They were our go to fuel source when we had the ability to bring them with us.
Zinnia cut me a playful glare while I got back to setting up the tent. We weren’t far off the main road that would lead us to Karbala. We were in the lowlands, all desert and scrub brush, so there was no point in getting off the road. If someone wanted to cause trouble they’d see us easily enough from the road.
It didn’t take long before we all had our designated chores done and were sitting by the fire while Torque cooked our meal.
“So what’s the plan once we reach Karbala?” I asked, taking the plate Torque handed me and passing it off to Zinnia, who was sitting to my right.
“See if we can find out any intel about Roj’s strongholds, the Holy Order, anything useful,” Keller said as he took his own plate.
