“Yup.”Worth it.
We walked out, leaving Zinnia to sleep off the aftermath of our fucking.
I noticed Rush sitting on a barricade off to the side when we walked back over toward the warehouse. Breaking off from Alden, I went to sit next to my friend. The cousins could work out their frustrations on each other, I didn’t need to be present for that.
“Hey.”
He glanced over. “Hey.”
“Why the long face?”
He was silent for a moment before he sighed. “I’m a fucking idiot.”
“Okay.”
“I’m into Zinnia.”
“Brother. We all are. Haven’t you noticed?”
He nodded, misery written on his face. “Yeah, I did. I guess I just hoped she’d pick me. But she slept with Alden.”
I cringed inwardly, not wanting to admit to what I needed to tell him. “And me.”
He stilled, then glanced over at me. “You’re shitting me. When?”
“Just now. Well, it was just a blow job.” Saying it like that was laughable. It was the most incredible BJ I’d ever gotten.
His jaw dropped. “Does Alden know?”
I chuckled. It wasn’t that Rush was innocent, he just wasn’t as depraved as Alden, Keller, and I were…yet. “I’d say so. He was fucking her from behind while she sucked me off.”
His jaw worked, but no sound came out.
I raked a hand through my hair as I fought to find the words to explain to him. “Did you pick up on the fact that Colby was in a relationship with Rafe, Arsen, and Sig?”
“What?”
I nodded. “All of them.” He hadn’t asked the second question out loud, but I read it on his face. “It’s possible,” I added, “that we might be able to convince Zinnia to do the same with us.”
He looked dumbfounded. “You think she’d want to?”
Thinking back to the way she’d looked, pushing her tongue out to try to taste me while Alden fucked her, I nodded again. “Pretty sure.”
“No way,” he said with a shake of his head. “Even if she wanted to, Keller’s not going to allow that shit. It’ll distract us from our mission.”
I laughed at that. “My money’s on Z. There’s no way Keller’s going to be able to hold out against her.”
“What if it’s not something she wants?”
“Then we don’t do it. It’s that simple. But my money is on her wanting us as badly as we do her.” There was something about her that spoke to each of us. Drew us in. If the conflict I’d seen on her face earlier was any indication, she was feeling the same. I had to admit that she was handling it pretty well so far. The woman knew herself and wasn’t denying her desires.
He didn’t speak again, but his face had lost the pinched look. His expression was almost hopeful. The tight feeling in my chest loosened. If he could accept sharing her with us, then we stood a chance of remaining a tight knit group. I couldn’t believe that Zinnia had only been with us for a week. We were in deep with her, at least three of us were. I wasn’t sure where Keller’s head was exactly. We sat in companionable silence while the King cousins shouted at each other outside the warehouse.
CHAPTER16
Zinnia
Iwoke up to a dark room and realized arms were wrapped around me. Shifting in my bunk, so I could look over my shoulder, I smiled when I saw it was Torque who was holding me. It was a new and welcomed surprise.
