I held onto his shoulders, keeping my legs hooked tight as he pounded into me. The harder he thrust, the more I wanted. I could hardly catch my breath, but it didn’t matter. As long as I could feel all of him inside me, I didn’t need to breathe.
He pinned my hands above my head, taking me deeper as he held me captive in his strong hold.
“Oh.” I bit my lip as I gripped his hands.
“Scream.” He knocked me into the wall. “Let this whole house know what I’m doing to you.”
“Romero,” I yelled out. “I’m going to…”
I closed my eyes and shuttered into his movements. As I climaxed, he continued to push inside me, claiming me, owning me, loving me the way only he could.
“God!” he yelled out, halting his actions and releasing inside me.
He kissed me slowly as he emptied into me. When I opened my eyes, I found him staring at me.
“What?” I gently kissed him.
“Nothing.” He lowered me to my feet, steadying me by holding me close to him. “It’s just that you’re the most stunning woman I’ve ever known. You’re sweet, kind, and tender. Sometimes, I don’t know what you’re doing with me.”
“Seriously?” I laughed. “Remember how we met?”
“Okay, I did force you to marry me, but you didn’t have to fall in love with me.”
“I didn’t have a choice.” I traced the tattoos along his chest with my finger. “That was the easy part.”
“I don’t deserve you, but I’ll prove I can be the man you need.”
“You don’t have to prove anything.”
The past couple of months had been quiet, but lately, I saw a change in my husband. Something was weighing heavily on his mind. He and Gio had more closed-door meetings than usual, and Romero ramped up security around the house.
He glanced at the dresser when his phone buzzed with a message. “I have to see who that is.” He let go of me and pulled up his pants. “We can take a shower.”
“Sounds good.” I let go of his hand as he reached for his phone. “Is everything okay?”
“I have to call Gio back.”
“Where did he disappear to tonight? He wasn’t there when we cut the cake.”
“We had something to deal with. He’s still at the club.”
“How come?”
“He’s the new manager for the time being.”
“Wait? What happened to Aria?” Just mentioning her name made me sick. I didn’t like the way she spoke to me tonight, and I definitely didn’t like how she insisted she was an asset to my husband.
“She’s no longer useful to me, so I fired her.”
“You did?” I couldn’t say I was upset about that.
“You don’t have to hide your satisfaction.” He ushered me into the bathroom and turned on the shower. “I know you don’t like her.”
“I barely know her.” But he was right, I was happy she was gone.
“She upset you tonight and that couldn’t go unanswered.”
“You fired her because she upset me?”
