Efa’s kiss was apologetic, the brush of her forehead against mine an invitation. “We’re not going anywhere, love. You’ve been through a lot in a short time, and when you came here you didn’t have many options. I want you to know you have them now. Do what makes you happy. We’ll support you. Love you. Cherish every moment with you like the gift it is.” Her lips quirked. “You’re not Bound anymore. At least not until I get the rope back out.”

I pursed my lips but couldn’t hold back the grin. Hopefully, that would be soon. I liked the rope.

My heart was too full for words. What did you even say to something like that? Thank you? Not hardly. Stalling for time, I kissed her, trying to put everything I was feeling into it.

Whatever else I decided to do, finding a therapist was definitely on the list. I was clearly traumatized if I could live through everything I had with these people—shit, just the last twenty-four hours—and think for asingle secondthat it was leading up to a breakup talk.

I pulled back, my breathing heavy. Efa was a damned good kisser. And it was amazing how different the same basic mechanics felt when they weren’t wrapped in loathing and fear.

Yup. Definitely going to need a therapist.

“I guess...I’d like to stay with Katarina for now. She’s at Sid and Fenn’s more than she’s home anyways.” I spoke slowly, working out my thoughts as I went. “And I’d like to keep working here. I like it here. It’s fun. But maybe I can do more in the garden? And then in a few months—when I’ve saved a little money—I can look for a place of my own.”

I was pretty sure Radek would be moving soon, and he’d need a roommate—at least until he got settled. A little two bedroom would be perfect. Something big enough for both of us, but inexpensive enough for one.

I slapped a muzzle on the insecurity shouting at me and looked around at the four gorgeous fae who’d helped me take back my life. If all went as I hoped, they’d share the rest of it with me.

“Somewhere with a short lease, maybe.”

“Oh,cariad bach, I like the sound of that.” Kynan’s hand gripped my thigh, possessive and reassuring.

“Mmm,” Efa purred. “And now that you’re not stuck here, we can take you on proper dates.”

“Proper or improper, I wouldn’t know the difference.” I shrugged, secretly thrilled at the idea. “I’ve never been on a date.”

“That’s going to fucking change.” Mared’s kiss was hard and fast. “Prepare to be wooed, baby.”

Emyr waggled his eyebrows. “How do you feel about adult theater? The...interactive kind?”

I pulled him close, whispering against his lips. “Let’s find out.”
