“What the fuck?”

A loud ringing fills the air as Jay jumps up sending me flying off his chest. I watch him looking around in a daze and laugh as I reach over and hit my alarm clock. Jay looks at me for a moment before falling back onto the pillows, pulling me down with him.

“Sorry, forgot that was set,” I chuckle into his chest as he groans and rubs his face. He looks disorientated and sexy as hell. He smiles at me before pressing a kiss to my forehead.

“I could get used to waking up to that laugh,” he sighs as he rolls sideways and pulls me close, kissing me on the lips. I chuckle pulling away from him.

“I bet you say that to all the girls,” I tease as I try to roll away from him, but he cages me in with his arms and rolls so he is on top of me.

“I can hand on heart say I never sleep over at anyone’s place. This is a first in a very long time for me.” He leans down and presses his lips to mine. “Same as I never cook for anyone other than my sister. I plan on having lots of firsts with you. One being later today when I take you to work and pick you up,” he adds before kissing me again. This time I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him in to kiss him deeper. Just as I go to wrap my legs around his waist in the hope of pulling him against me Binx decides to jump up on the bed and start attacking our legs. I laugh as Jay groans into my neck.

“I think someone wants feeding,” I giggle as he reluctantly rolls off me and looks down the bed at Binx casually walking between us and getting cosy on my chest.

“Lucky little shit,” Jay sighs before rolling over and grabbing his phone off the bedside cabinet. “Shit.” He jumps up out of bed and grabs his trousers.

“What’s the matter?” I ask sitting up.

“I missed a call. I need to be in a meeting in half an hour.” I watch as he quickly gets dressed and starts looking around the floor. “Where’s my shir…” his eyes lock on me and a smile creeps across his face as he beckons me with his finger. I grin as I move to the side of the bed and kneel in front of him. Jay looks down at the shirt hanging off me and I see a devious grin on his face.

“Take it off,” he orders.

“But I like it,” I protest wrapping my arms around myself. Jay launches himself at me and I fall back squealing as he lies back over me grinning.

“And I like you in it. But I don’t have any spare ones with me or time to go home to get some. So, you need to give me that one so that the smell of you keeps me going through the day until I can see you again.”

“And what do I get to keep me going until I see you?” I ask grinning at him. Jay looks to the side for a moment before reaching over.

“You get to keep my favourite tie. Why don’t you use those books in your library and see if you can find some creative ways, I can use it on you later?”

My smile widens as I chew on my bottom lip and nod. Jays lips crash into mine quickly before he stands up and pulls me with him.

“Arms up, beautiful.”

I quickly do as I’m told, and Jay removes the shirt and pulls it over his head. I cross my arms over my chest to cover it as I reach down for the T-shirt, he took off me last night. Jay snatches it from my hand and throws it out of the room.

“I need that!” I laugh, but he grabs a blanket from the bottom of the bed and wraps it around my shoulders.

“There, now you are covered.”

I open my mouth to argue but his phone starts to vibrate in his hand. “Kelley, great timing. Tell Quin to start the meeting if I’m not there. I’m on my way.” I watch as Jays eyes widen. “Shit, okay. Tell Sullivan I’m stuck in traffic but on my way.” Jay ends the call and kisses me quickly.

“I have to go, the big guys are on coming and I don’t want to keep them waiting.” He quickly tucks in his shirt as I climb off the bed. “What time do you finish work tonight?” he asks.

“Seven, I have to catch up on what I missed yesterday,” I answer as I head to my wardrobe to find some clothes. Jay grabs my arm, pulls me to him and kisses me hard on the lips.

“I will meet you at the library and bring you home. Do you want me to stay tonight?”

I nod grinning. Jay smiles as he kisses me again.

“I’ll go home and grab a few bits then. See you later, sweetheart,” he whispers against my lips before turning around and walking out of the bedroom door. He stops on the landing and grabs the T-shirt off the floor, and holds it up as he descends the stairs. “I’m taking this with me so I can make sure it goes where it belongs, in the bin.”

I laugh as I hear the door slamming shut behind him. I look out the window just in time to see him jump in his car and drive off. I look at the bed where Binx is staring at me.

“Don’t look at me like that, you are as much of a sucker for that man as I am!”
