“If it wasn’t then why can’t I find her? Even after everything I’ve done to make sure we are feared and people know not to fuck with us, it wasn’t enough to stop her from being taken or hurt. I thought we were feared, but we are being laughed at. They have the nerve to taunt us, fuck with us and there is nothing we can do to stop them.”
“Yet,” I point out interrupting him. “There is nothing we can do to stop them yet. But we will burn this fucking world to the ground if we have to, to make sure we get her back. Someone has become cocky and they will pay for it, they will die as an example of what happens if anyone tries to take her from us again.” I push myself away from the doorframe and walk further into the room heading for my brother, not stopping until I am right in front of him.
“No one will go unpunished for what’s happening. No one will dare put our family through this again. Hudson and whoever he is working for will pay with their life for taking her from us and I for one will not lose a wink of sleep over it. If we are not feared now, we will be by the time we have avenged Jasmines suffering and pain.”
Christian looks up at me and nods once.
“You suspect Taylor don’t you?” I ask. Christian looks at me and nods.
“I wasn’t sure until this evening. But the more he offers to help the more I doubt they are honest intentions,” He admits before leaning his arms on his thighs as he cups his glass with both hands. “I think he is trying to point us away from wherever Jasmine is being kept. I didn’t want to believe it to start with, it seemed too simple. But the more I sit here and consider everything that has happened, it seems to be the only explanation.” Christian looks to me and sighs. “I am trying to work up the courage to start looking into the possibility, but I’m terrified I will be wasting my time on another dead end. It’s all we seem to find.”
I take a deep breath and place my hand on his shoulder.
“Then let’s all tackle it together. We get Terry and Layton to help and between the six of us we are sure to find something.” I give his shoulder a squeeze and head out of the room. “We will all be in the sitting room in ten minutes. Bring you’re a-game as I’m not stopping until we bring her home.”
???
We have been at it for three hours and can’t seem to find any solid leads.
“What time is it?” Sean asks as he stands up from the sofa and stretches.
“Just gone midnight,” Maximus answers without looking up from his laptop. Both of the twins look ready to drop. I have seen their heads dipping every now and again as they fall asleep where they are sat.
“I’ll get a fresh pot of coffee on the go,” Sean announces as he goes to walk out of the room. I am just about to suggest some food when Terry jumps up and pulls a phone out of his pocket.
“Fucking superstar!” he curses as he rushes to the laptop.
“What’s that?” Christian asks as he stands in front of the desk. Terry holds up a finger to silence him as he types on the keyboard. His fingers are moving so fast that they are almost a blur!
“Got her!” he yells excitedly.
“What?” All four of us jump up together and rush to stand around Terry.
“She’s shown us how to find her and I swear if you don’t marry the clever woman I will!” Terry turns the screen around and we see a text to his untraceable burner phone.

Jasmine
I’m lying on the bed, hungry and covered in Tommy’s dried blood. I’m hurting after being violated by Hudson, which has left me feeling sick and dirty. I’m just waiting for the time to be right so I can retrieve Tommy’s phone and send a message to the number Terry made me memorise. It’s a phone he always carries on him and we are to make contact with it if we are trying to hide who we are messaging.
I hear footsteps coming closer to the door and jump to my feet and away from the bed, ready to fight Hudson. I have no doubt he will make good on his threat now. The thought of him touching me again is enough to drive me mad. I need to make sure the guys get here quickly as I don’t know if I will ever recover if he rapes me. Physically or mentally.
The footsteps come to a stop and the bedroom door opens. I know what I need to do to protect myself, but it’s not Hudson who walks in. It’s Taylor followed closely by my mother.
“Evening Jasmine.” He looks at me like I should be glad to see them, there is something very wrong with his man.
“Taylor,” I bark back. “Take it the meeting went well?” I ask as I move so my back is against the window and cross my arms over my chest.
“Very, they still have no idea I’m playing them. You would think they’d have some kind of doubts by now, but they are so distracted by your disappearance they aren’t paying attention to anything else.”
“That must make you happy,” I reply rolling my eyes. I look at my mother and her ridiculous fake blonde hair. Naturally, her hair was as dark as mine, but as soon as it started to turn grey, she dyed it blonde. “Is there something I can do for you? Or have you just come to check on your leverage?”
Mum stares at me for a moment and shakes her head.
“Really Jasmine, sometimes you are so uncouth.”
