“Hey,” I say, peering up at him. “How long have you been here?”
“A while,” he says with a shrug. “An hour maybe.” He eyes Jason. “I’m Kas,” he says, introducing himself to Jason with an extended fist.
Jason bumps it. “I’m Jason. I think I’ve seen you around.”
“Probably,” he answers with a friendly smile. “Small town.”
“Tell me about it.”
Kaspian sits down next to me, pushing his thigh into mine. “So, what’re you two up to tonight? Y’all doing anything after this?”
Jason shakes his head. “Probably not. We got a couple of girls here with us. They’ll probably wanna stay.”
“I got a couple of girls too,” he says, gesturing to his table.
“All to yourself?” Jason asks with wide eyes.
“If I’m lucky,” Kas answers, knocking his knee into mine. “Unless you’re interested in joining us?”
Jason sputters out a nervous laugh. “Oh. Yeah, I don’t know about that.”
He’s blushing, and of course Kaspian could get him to blush.
“It could be fun. We could swap, unless you’re only interested in me.” He winks at him, and Jason’s ears turn red as he fidgets, running his palms against his jeans.
I squeeze Kaspian’s thigh under the table, warning him to cut it out. He drops his hand and pushes mine to his dick. I squeeze, making him squirm.
Jason can hardly get his words out. “I’m not…” He laughs. “I’m not into guys, but thanks. I think.” He rubs his hands over his face. “Sorry, I’ve never been propositioned by a guy before.”
Kas turns his head and looks at me, relief in his eyes. “What about you?”
Before I can answer, Willow and Cora show up. Willow looks surprised by the new person at our table, if not slightly annoyed that he’s taken her spot next to me. Cora looks delighted by his presence.
“Well, well, well. Who do we have here?” she asks, pushing Willow into the booth so she can sit directly in front of Kaspian.
Kas turns on his charm, smiling and extending his hand to her. “I’m Kas. And who are you two beautiful ladies?”
Cora slips her hand into his. “We’re Cora and Willow.”
“Willow,” Kaspian says slowly, emphasizingwill.“And Cora,” he adds. “Nice to meet you both.”
“So, you two are friends?” Willow asks, gesturing between us.
Kaspian looks at me, a smile playing on his lips. “Kinda.”
“He fixed my phone recently,” I say.
Kas rolls his eyes. “He’s using me for my skills.” Cora giggles. “We met not that long ago, though. Bonded over the fact that neither of us are from here.”
“You might be the only two,” Jason says. “Besides the tourists who show up for skiing in the winter, we don’t get many transplants.”
“Where are you from, Kas?” Willow asks.
“Maine,” he answers easily. “I was moving around a while, trying to figure out where I wanted to settle, and then I came across this town.”
“And you wanted to stay?” Cora asks with surprise. “That’s crazy.”
“I never said I was sane,” he flirts, winking at her.
