Chapter8

Bennett

After a long day at the shop, I pull up at my house. I was going to head straight inside, shower and eat but when I see lights on over at Eve’s place, I am out of my car, striding over to her house and knocking on her door before I can stop myself.

Little feet sound and in the next second the door is slowly pulled open revealing Myla. She spots me and a big smile curves her lips. She opens her mouth to speak but is cut off by Eve’s voice. My gaze moves to my little cupcake in tiny sleep shorts and a tank. She looks flustered, her hair a mess on top of her head. “Myla, what have I told you about answering the door,” she scolds.

Myla twists to see her mom, guilt flashing on her face. “Sorry mommy, but it’s only Ben.”

“It doesn’t matter.” She says sternly before her eyes shift to me. A blush graces her cheeks, and she looks so damn adorable I want to eat her. “Hey, everything okay?”

I nod. “Yeah, I just wanted to come over and discuss,” my gaze drops to Myla before moving back to Eve. “Tomorrow.” I finish, not wanting to say anything else with little ears around.

A small hand takes mine and tugs. “Can you watch a movie with us Ben. Please. Please.” Myla begs.

“Babygirl, it’s time for bed. We already watched a movie.” Eve says before I can reply.

Myla pouts and it’s so cute I have to stifle a laugh. “But mommmm,” she draws out the word. “I don’t have school tomorrow.”

“It doesn’t matter sweetheart. It’s already past your bedtime. It’s,” Eve checks her watch. “Eight thirty.”

“But–” Myla starts again.

“No buts. Bed now munchkin.” Eve cuts her off.

Myla looks to me and I see the disappointment in her eyes. My chest tightens. I hate seeing it there and want to do anything to make her smile again. “How was your last day at school cake pop? Did you have fun?”

That does it. Her eyes, so much like her mother’s sparkle as the disappointment disappears. “It was the best. We played games, sang songs, watched a movie and ate candy.” She rushes out.

I chuckle. “I am sad that I missed it.”

Myla giggles. “You are too old for school silly.”

My eyebrows climb to my forehead at this little girl’s words, but I laugh. She is a smart girl. “You’re right. I am.” she grins at me but before we can say more, Eve speaks.

“Bed sweetheart.” Eve repeats.

Myla looks between us and huffs. “Okay.” She concedes. “Night Ben.” She waves to me then kisses Eve. “Night mom.”

“Night baby.”

“Night Myla.” We say at the same time. With one last look at us both, she trails up the stairs and then she is gone.

“She is an amazing kid.” I say honestly because she is.

Eve glances at me. “Thanks. Do you want to come in?”

“Yeah,” I say closing the door before following my little cupcake.

We stop in the kitchen, the only area I have been in apart from Eve’s bedroom. The thought of that room alone makes my cock stir in my jeans. The way she called out my name. The way her pussy swallowed that toy as she came.

“Would you like something to drink?” her soft voice drags me from my dirty thoughts.

“Waters fine.” It feels like déjà vu saying that. I drop down on a stool at the breakfast nook and watch as she grabs bottles out of the refrigerator. Handing me a bottle she takes a seat opposite me.

“What did you want to talk about?” she asks, her tongue darting out and running across her bottom lip. I want to take that tongue and suck it into my mouth like I did just yesterday. My cock grows harder at the memory, and I shift in my seat to relieve some pressure.

“What time do you want me to be at the school?” I ask. I know I could have messaged her this information, but I wouldn’t miss out on the chance of seeing her.
