He’d fucked me so hard I’d be feeling him forweeks, leaving my mind to wander the deepest, darkest recesses of my perverted mind.

Blor, what did you do to me?

Workers rushed from one area of the building to another, always in a hurry and with a sense of urgency. I felt like I was there for a job interview.

I cleared my throat. “So, uh, how did he die?” I asked. “My father.”

Uhti slowed to match my easier pace. He frowned at me. “No one told you?”

“No one has told me anything,” I said.

This seemed to surprise him. “Oh. Well, it was peaceful. He’s had a problem with his heart for a long time and it eventually gave out. He’s worked so hard for so many years that it had to give up on him eventually.”

Wonderful, I thought. Now I hadheart-related health issuesto worry about.

Uhti smiled warmly at me and touched me gently on the shoulder. “But we’ll get to that. Please follow me.”

He took me into a room with strong gold patterns weaved around the room’s doorways. What looked like ancient artifacts sat on shelves like the Cairo museum back home… except on these shelves were regular human items that could be found in any home on Earth… At least, circa 2020’s when my father had been a younger man.

“This was all his,” Uhti said.

“What is?”

“These. His artifacts.”

“Oh,” I said, a little disappointed. I mean, what was I supposed to do with all this junk? I couldn’t exactly lug it across the galaxy with me! I couldn’t afford to have it sent ahead either.

“Was he in charge of curating the museum?” I said, unaware that my father had any interest in such things. Then again, with all the businesses he had started — and failed — in the past, I supposed he would have a very wide range of interests to draw on.

“Curating the museum?” Uhti said with a funny little smile on his lips. “He more than curated it. Hebuiltit. He built this whole mansion.”

I missed a step. “Built it? What do you mean?”

He must have been involved with construction, I thought. He’d tried his hand at similar businesses on other planets in the past.

“The house,” Uhti said. “The land… most of the planet, actually. And all of it, pretty soon. As soon as we finalized the final details. It’s taken some time but finally it will become a private planet.”

I scratched my head. I felt like I was putting a puzzle together but was missing some of the crucial pieces. “Excuse me? Private planet? What are you talking about?”

Uhti looked me over and clasped his clipboard close. “Why, the mansion, the things in it, most of the planet… It all belonged to your father. And soon, it will belong to you.”

BLOR

The females fellabout themselves laughing.

Ever since the assistant had told them my offer (and they had all taken me up on it — which helped no end to boost my self-confidence) they had laughed and grinned and beamed, holding on tight to my arms, refusing to let go.

It made heading down the hallways a much slower event than it needed to be but I had an entireweekto get there and enjoy myself. I was in no particular hurry!

Plus, Ilovedthe looks on the faces of the other males who heard the noise and came out to see what was happening.

When they set eyes on me with my arms full with a pair of ladies on each arm I caught the ugly mosaic of jealousy on their faces.

Their females caught them looking at me and scowled at my females, who raised their chins defiantly and hugged me even closer.

Each of the females tried to outdo the others. I could already tell which of them were naturally more outgoing than the others. None were humans but the quieter ones did have more human-like features with their long narrow noses and flowing locks of hair.
