Remi laughed, still waiting for an answer to his question.

A name floated in my head. “Ignis. He represents the flame in me, the one in you, the fire I had feared, and the invisible fire that burned away that fear.” I tilted my face up to Remi, the only man who had the power to move my heart. “Most of all, he symbolizes the passion we create when we’re together.” Ignis let out an adorable meow and snuggled into the crook of my arm. “What do you think?”

“I think that’s a perfect name for him.” He smiled, and I loved seeing it.

Ignis heard a noise from outside and jumped down from my arm. I let him be. This was his home now, so he could roam wherever he pleased. I kept my gaze on Remi and traced my fingers along the seam of his lips.

“A smile is a line that connects me to you. You’re my forever line segment.” My index finger tugged up the corner of his lips. “Is that nerdy enough for you?”

He laughed and rubbed the tiny mole on my face. “My happiness begins and ends with you, Agent Sexy Dot.”

He drew a smile in the air, and I did the same.

Ignis wove between my legs and Remi’s, then stopped to stare at us, and my heart blossomed with so much happiness.

I snuck my arms around Remi. “Me and you, it’smeowand forever.”
