I grabbed her by the throat and shoved her against the brick wall. She blinked fast but kept her eyes on me. “Look you little priss. I’m Kira. KIra the finder. Ever heard of me?”

She nodded.

“Good. Now my boyfriend asked you to move. I suggest you listen.” I released her throat.

“Correction. Boyfriends. We all wanted her to move.” Derek waved his hand at himself and Jason.

My heart flipped. I hadn’t realized what I said until he pointed it out and corrected me. Boyfriends! Fuck, I was lucky.

“Kira the finder would never be caught dead with Elite’s.” The woman crossed her arms over her chest.

“Don’t talk to me like you know anything about what I would do. You ratted me out to these guys a few weeks ago. Now move.” I went to go for her throat again, but she got up.

Jason and Derek moved the dumpster aside.

An older gentleman with three others came strolling down the alley. We didn’t have leaders. Just people who looked out for others. Old Man was one of those people. Old Man had been in his share of fights and had the scars to prove it. He didn’t take too kindly to someone taking advantage of another homeless person.

“Excuse me, what are you doing?” Old Man asked.

“Hey, Old Man. Sorry, I just had to get something.” I smiled.

He tossed his arms around me. My men growled. I lifted a hand up to let them know I was alright.

“Kira? You look...look. Well you look like them.” Old Man jabbed a thumb toward The Trips.

“Long story. We are just getting something and this woman can go back to my spot.” I glared at the woman.

“Of course.” he gave a head nod and the people with him walked away. He gave me another quick hug and joined them.

As soon as he was gone I removed the brick behind the dumpster.

Fuck.

Nothing.

It was empty.

No one knew of my hiding place. Not even Vickie.

Fuck.

“Guys we have a problem,” I whispered.

“What?” Aiden asked calmly, but the anger was evident.

“It’s gone.” I dropped the brick.

“Did anyone come here? Snoop around?” I grabbed the woman by the shirt and slammed her against the wall.

She nodded.

“Who?” my voice shook. Shit, my whole body was shaking.

“Another of you people,” she whispered. “The guy who you were talking to before. Um, before they came to get you.”

I dropped her and turned to the men. “I know who has the bag.”

“And?” they all asked simultaneously.
