Page 73 of Seducing Selena

Hands closed down on my arms, pulling me roughly backwards. I looked at each of them, memorizing their faces and the looks they gave me now. Just because they could find me didn’t mean this wouldn’t be the last time I would see them.

“It was a good try,” Delano said to them. “Best of luck to the next group that gives it a go.”

Some of the men stayed behind to hold my Alphas at gunpoint, and they dragged me through the empty club and down the stairs toward the outside world. I hadn’t been outside in over two weeks, and it was terrifying. But I wasn’t going to show these assholes any weakness.

We entered the lobby, and Delano lifted a walkie-talkie to his mouth. “Kill them.”

“No.”

Gunshots rang out through the radio, and I fought them. I needed to get back to my Alphas. But there wasn’t anything I could do. There were too many of them, and I wasn’t strong enough to fight. Something slammed into my head, and there was only darkness.

CHAPTER THIRTY-THREE

____________

SEBASTIAN

They dragged Selena out of sight, and I memorized the faces of the men who were touching her.

Because they were going to die.

Christopher Delano was going to die.

My mind sank into the deep place beyond panic and beyond fear. Panic led to mistakes, and we couldn’t make any mistakes. Our Omega’s life was at stake.

The men Delano left with us, we could take, but we needed to wait until they were distracted enough to do so. Christopher didn’t leave anyone alive, so they were here to kill us. That was good, because it gave us the freedom to kill without mercy.

One of them had my gun, where they took it after finding us here. I grit my teeth. Had we let this happen? Should we have noticed Steve was missing? How long did it take them to torture everything out of him?

Derek still crouched on the floor, putting pressure on his shoulder. Thankfully, it looked like a place that would heal and hadn’t hit anything. He was lucky, because I doubted Delano was that good a shot.

A radio crackled. “Kill them.”

The three of us moved. I slammed into the nearest man and shoved the gun toward the ceiling as he fired, yanking the gun from him and striking him across the face before shooting him in the head.

And then the next one.

Five men, and we were faster. There were now six dead bodies on the floor.

“Derek?”

“I’m fine,” he grunted.

Nick was already at the desk, calling. “Jensen.”

“What?”

“Go. It has to be now. Everything is a go.”

“What?”

Nick shook his head. “They took Steve and tortured him. Delano knows everything and is on the run. We don’t know who he’s told, but if you want any shot of this happening, send people inright the fuck now. TheCatenateam isn’t needed here. Send them elsewhere.”

Jensen swore and started shouting orders. I grabbed the first aid kit and bandaged Derek’s wound while Nick typed furiously. I already knew what he was doing, and I could barely make myself stand still.

Delano wasn’t stupid, and if he knew everything about us, he knew that we were the best. The men he left were disposable. He knew we would likely come out of this alive, which meant he waited until he was almost clear of the building to give the order.

Selena was already gone.
