Page 67 of Seducing Selena

It wasn’t dissimilar to the previous denial scene we’d put her through, but this time, it was something she truly wanted.

A crowd was gathering to watch behind us. How long we’d be able to take watching her writhe and come, I wasn’t sure, but we would try.

“The shipment is ready.” Delano’s voice swept under the music, stealing the joy out from underneath me like finding coal in a Christmas stocking. “Would you like it to come here?”

“When would it be delivered?”

“We could have it here tomorrow.”

I nodded. “How many?”

“Three, to start. I thought that would be enough to judge.”

“Fine. Make it happen.”

He stepped closer. “I do have one question.”

I looked over at him, adopting Seb’s style of strength and letting nothing color my tone. “What?”

“Have you been stringing me along?”

“What the hell is that supposed to mean?” I turned to face him, giving him my full presence.

He looked to the stage, where Selena moaned, and I could scent her floral sweetness from here as she succumbed to Derek’s toying and came. “I’ve made it clear I want her, but the way Sebastian fought my man for her last night and carried her away, it doesn’t seem like you’re going to follow through.”

Ice flowed through my veins. “That was your man?”

He was wise enough not to confirm it.

“Let me make myself clear, Christopher. We never offered her for sale. You have made your interest clear, and we told you a decision would be made if she was for sale after her training was complete. It isn’t. And we are under no obligation to sell her to you or anyone else if we don’t want to.

“Further,” I glared at him. “If this is how you behave with business partners, and attempt to circumvent them by taking things that don’t belong to you, we’ll have to reconsider our agreement.”

His glare was just as strong. “I hoped, given us going into business together, you might consider her a goodwill gift or a bonus.”

“We don’t give bonuses people haven’t earned. You’re valuable, Delano, and you know it, but don’t overstep. And you know us well enough to know you’ll only get one warning. Take something from us we haven’t offered or you haven’t paid for again, and you’re done. You don’t want to be on our bad side. Now leave. I’m done seeing you for the night.”

The only reaction he showed was a tic in his jaw, but I knew the signs of fury well enough to know he was fucking pissed. I didn’t care. He had sent someone to touch my property, and that wouldn’t stand. But tomorrow? It was over. Getting my phone out, I did the hardest thing in the world and turned away from Selena long enough to send a text to headquarters.

Shipment of new merchandise incoming tomorrow. Go for TD?

It had to be enough. Between everything we’d collected and observed, everything the Betas had gone through and gathered, with the added on-hand evidence of stolen Omegas? Delano was going down for a long fucking time.

My phone buzzed.

Go.

Thank fuck.

This time tomorrow, it would all be over, and we could leave this hell hole behind with Selena and never look back. I sent them back the confirmation code that would have everyone scrambling and getting ready. We were the leads of this operation, but we were also external to it.

We weren’t a part of the takedown. Delano still needed to think we were real, at least until we sent him to a prison so dark he never came back out again.

Turning back to the stage and our Omega, I saw Seb approaching her with a sadistic gleam in his eye. This would be good.
