Page 22 of Seducing Selena

“We’re probably overwhelming,” I said. “Right?”

Selena nodded.

I looked at Seb and Nick. “Give us a minute.”

He set her down.

Shrugging off my suit jacket, I pulled my shirt over my head and tossed it to the side of the nest. Selena was naked. At the very least, I could make her a little more comfortable by not letting her be the only one exposed.

But I kept my pants on. We weren’t there yet. I sat down on the cushions in front of her, noting how her eyes traced my body, just like mine traced hers.

Her perfume bathed me in roses and orange, and a purr sprang to life in my chest before I could stop it. She stared at me for a moment, blushing and ducking her head.

“What were you going to say?”

“You know it’s fucked up that I’m confiding in the person keeping me prisoner.”

I smiled. “Sorry,gattina. I don’t have a therapist on speed dial.”

“I’m going to need one after this,” she muttered.

The smile dropped from my face, and I almost told her the truth right then and there. Finally, she looked back at me. “Are we just supposed to pretend that the last day didn’t happen? Am I just going to pretend that Idon’tknow as soon as my heat is over I’ll go back to being a sex toy for you? A fucking object that you can use whenever you want?”

“Is that what you think training will be?”

She made a face. “If you’re about to go off on some speech trying to explain to me that fuckingslaveryisn’t that bad, you can save it.”

Scooting closer so our knees pressed against each other, I slipped one hand around her neck and pulled her closer. “You asked last night if being scent matched mattered at all.”

“And you said nothing, which tells me enough.”

“Or it was because I didn’t have an answer I could give. The short answer is that yes, it does. And all three of us are going to enjoy the hell out of this heat with you. But remember, especially in our world, not everything is as it seems.”

She tried to pull away, and I didn’t let her go. “What the hell kind of fortune cookie nonsense is that?”

“It’s all I have for the moment. I just want you to remember that, okay?”

“Sure.”

Her tone didn’t make me think she would try, but I hoped she did. “As for pretending? Yes, I guess so. You can still change your mind and suffer through it if you want. But I think this is better for everyone, don’t you?”

Selena’s eyes turned glassy. “It’s a stretch to say any of this is good for me.”

“I understand that.”

“But,” she looked at me. “You said it matters?”

“Gattina, I don’t think you quite understand the amount of self-control it has taken us to hold ourselves back. You smell fucking divine. I want to consume you.”

A shudder ran through her. “I don’t know how to just forget about it. I need it to kick in already, so I don’t have to think. Once that happens, it will be okay.”

“Let me help,” I said.

She swallowed. “How?”

“Lie back.”

As long as I lived, once all of this was over, I would make it my life’s mission to make sure my Omega never had that kind of doubt in her eyes ever again. But she did as I asked, and I couldn’t hesitate anymore. I gave in to my instincts, pushed her thighs apart, and devoured her.
