“Are you okay?” he asked.
“If I can’t walk tomorrow, it would be for the best reason ever,” she said.
He laughed and unhooked her legs from behind him, but as he stood up he moved her so he was cradling her in his arms. “We need a shower.”
“We do,” she said. “I’m too weak though.”
“I’ll wash you,” he said. “As long as I get to keep playing with you.”
“You can do whatever you want with me,” she said, laying her head against his shoulder.
Sometimes she said the right things to make him feel like the strongest man in the world.

No Guessing With Him
“It smells good in here,” Megan said Monday morning. “Did you cook me breakfast?”
“I made breakfast and you’re welcome to some of it,” he said.
She moved over and kissed him on the cheek. “I think I’ll have some. I don’t eat bacon often, but after yesterday I could eat a freaking pig.”
He grinned at her. “That is why there are eggs and toast. Lots of it.”
“I see that,” she said. There was a pound of bacon on the plate, about six pieces of toast and close to a dozen eggs scrambled she was guessing.
When she woke up and saw the bed empty she was surprised since she got up before Jonah most times. He worked later and didn’t always go in as early as she had to leave.
Not having to limp to the bathroom had been a bonus because she wasn’t positive how she’d feel. Not so much because of the workout at the gym, but the one in the apartment.
Their first bout of sex on the living room floor had been explosive to the point if Jonah hadn’t picked her up to carry her to the bathroom, she might have had to ask him to do it.
Then he turned the shower on and set her down on the toilet while the water warmed up. He’d left to get some towels and she shut the door to use the toilet, then let him back in.
They showered together, him keeping his word and cleaning her, then carrying her back to his bed where they both took a nap.
Dinner had been snacks since they’d eaten so much at his parents’ but this morning she was starving.
She made her coffee, then grabbed a plate and filled it with bacon and eggs, and snagged two pieces of toast.
“How are you feeling?” he asked.
“Refreshed,” she said. “Not even sore. Guess I’ve got more in me than I thought.”
“I’ll remember that for next time,” he said. “I wasn’t so sure I had much left in me. Or much control more than what I had.”
She reached her hand over and patted his thigh. “Good to know.”
“You’re quiet,” he said a few minutes later. “What’s going on?”
“I think I’m going to tell my parents about you,” she said.
“Okay,” he said. “Not sure why you haven’t, but that is your choice.”
“And you feel bad I haven’t said anything,” she said.
“No,” he said.
