FinnG: You think this will last that long?

 PCoop: I hope so.

FinnG: What about the gods book I was suggesting?

PCoop: Read American Gods, and if you have a different idea, then we can address it.

FinnG: Listen, my father is a fountain of knowledge regarding mythology. With his help, you and I could develop something that’s part fantasy and part contemporary.

 PCoop: Why me?

FinnG: I read a couple of your short stories.

 PCoop: I don’t write books.

FinnG: Don’t lie to me, PC Duke.

PCoop: How do you know that’s me?

FinnG: I wasn’t sure, but you just confirmed it. Your voice sounds a lot like the one you use when we’re chatting or exchanging emails. The bio sounds too fake, and the picture of a book next to a mug with the logo of the publishing company was a giveaway.

PCoop: Those books are the result of my nosy family. After an intervention where they made me stop stress baking.

 FinnG: So you wrote books?

 PCoop: I dusted a couple of ideas I wrote with… a friend.

FinnG: So you can write well with other people?

 PCoop: Just with my friend.

 FinnG: Give me a chance.

PCoop: Send me your idea, and we can discuss it if I think it’s worth the trouble.

 FinnG: I’ll make it work.

PCoop: I hate to cut this short, but my nephew needs my attention.

 FinnG: Where are his parents?

PCoop: Sleeping. It’s not easy to deal with a toddler and a newborn.

FinnG: So we have all night to discuss the books?

 FinnG: Are you still there?

FinnG: I guess we finished our conversation.

FinnG: FYI, I’ll be out of town, but I’ll try to connect in case you want to write with me.

Dream girl and Derek have been on my mind for the past few weeks. The book I sent the publisher doesn’t have any of the sex scenes I wrote with them in mind, but they were hot. If I share them with the publisher, they would send my book to the erotica category. As a matter of fact, I doubt I’ll be able to add any of them to any of the books. All I did for the first book was add some sexual tension.
