Page 43 of Double Her Pleasure

Jill cleared her throat uncomfortably and turned to grab the cake she’d made during one of her more restless moments the day before and sliced into it, putting each slice on a plate and passing them around.

“As for ruling the rookery,” she continued conversationally, “I have zero interest in ruling anything, especially since I came here knowing nothing about it. I trust Agor and Brydis in what they do and find my own ways to contribute. We work together.”

“She does help with the grifalc. I heard my mates speaking of it,” Mariia pointed out while licking her claw. She blinked, her feathers ruffling out in surprise as her eyes snapped to her claw and then over to the jar of honey. “Oh my!” she giggled and promptly spooned some out on her bread. “Zeroli, youmusttry this! Whatever is it?” she asked Jill eagerly.

Startled at the sudden shift in conversation, Jill smiled at Mariia and tipped her head to the honey. “That’s honey. The human farms have apiaries to raise bees from Earth engineered to thrive here. Our rookery is something of a blend of Geminidae and human as you might suspect.”

“I will have to persuade my mates to get some,” Mariia replied as she took a bite of her bread and sighed happily, her eyes riveted to the cake as she chewed. “Is that Earthen food too?”

Jill nodded. “Sort of. I used some of your ingredients and some familiar flavors from Earth.” She smiled wryly. “I had a lot of time and frustration to burn while waiting for Agor to return. While I spent much of that time out in the kennels, the grifalc enjoy my attention for only so long before they hurry to their dens or out the door.”

Veroli nodded as she took a small bite of the cake in front of her. She made a soft sound of pleasure that sounded so much like a chirp that a look of embarrassment came over the female’s face as the other looked over at her with amusement. Swallowing, she gave Jill a sympathetic look.

“I understand completely. It is so hard when one of my mates is away. Sure, there is still the other doing his best, but we all suffer from the strain of the taliazon even though we know it is necessary. Busy work is definitely the way I get through it,” she agreed with a chuckle. “Though I must say that I’m very impressed that you actually work with grifalc and spend so much time in the kennels. They are such large creatures that I would be afraid to be around even a half-grown pup that wasn’t adequately trained. And you are doing it.” She shook her head in wonder. “But I will say that I’m perhaps more appreciative of this baking.”

The other females murmured in agreement among small outbursts of laughter as they shared their own mishaps with grifalc. Conversation eventually drifted pleasantly in the direction of the various little activities or bits of research and study that distracted them during sheering. Even Iridi unbent enough to nod with a wicked smile and fan a hand extravagantly in front of her.

“I don’t know about any of you, but I find being plowed by a thick Geminos’s cock a few times a day to be a satisfying distraction.” Her eyes sparkled with challenge as she peered over at Jill. “Wouldn’t you agree?”

Jill’s brows flew up in the direction of conversation, but she smirked in response. It wasn’t like she never indulged in racy girl talk. If Iridi thought she was shocking her, nothing could be further from the case.

“If you meant did I spend half of Agor’s absence curled up in bed partly because Brydis made sure to pound me into exhaustion and give me multiple orgasms several times a day, then I could safely say yes. The connection helped quite a bit… as well as being worn out enough to actually catch some sleep rather than restlessly tossing and turning.”

A shy green female who’d been quiet up until then murmured in agreement. “It is hard to sleep without both of my males nestled around me.”

Iridi sighed and settled back into her chair, her wings twitching. “Thankfully it’s just once a year.” Her head tipped as she regarded Jill with a new light in her eyes. “Although some avrhastal do attend these things, I think that is a myth to make us thankful to stay home since I’ve never met a female yet whose actually left the rookery during the shearing time. We are all told the same thing, that the confusion could give a rogue male or avrhast twins an opportunity to snatch a female without her mates noticing. This is my first time leaving the rookery during shearing time, and I suppose it is you I have to thank for it. And this plan that you and your mates have come up with.”

“Itisvery exciting,” Mariia agreed as she grinned over at Iridi. “Admit it. You were curious about the human and what this rookery was like with a blended avrhastal dwelling inside of it.”

“Probably half-disappointed that it’s not falling down around her ears and the grifalc aren’t threatening to eat her at every turn,” Veroli added with a laugh that made Iridi’s feathers twitch again, this time with a distinct look of embarrassment.

“I can’t blame her. Humans must seem a bit strange to you.”

Iridi inclined her head. “I’ve only seen humans from the comm feeds, but your species seem like a small and angry sort. And very strange. I could not imagine attraction and taliazon developing with such a species.” She sighed with great reluctance and her lips twisted wryly. “But it’s clear that there is a true mating even if I don’t entirely approve of how your males initiated and pursued this without consideration for any consequences or how it would appear to our people. A female brought here without a true taliazon bond is one who would ultimately suffer and feel trapped… and a human would physically have even less ability to escape those males.”

Jill blinked. “Wait. You came because you were… worried… about me?”

Iridi’s feathers fluffed out again and she huffed. “Well, why not? I was filled with terrible images of a tiny helpless human cowering under the control of a pair of Geminidae males who have a record of frequently disobeying orders.”

“Well, thank you, I guess. I’m glad that you thought to check even if you did so in the most insulting way possible.”

A grin stretched across Iridi’s lips. “I did have to test your fortitude and make certain for my own peace of mind. Congratulations, you passed.”

“Thanks,” Jill replied dryly as the giggles from the other females filled the room once more. “If it makes you feel any better, when I first saw a Geminidos, I was shocked and a little afraid. It took time for me to become comfortable in Agor and Brydis’s presence, though I believe this taliazon thing sped that up,” she admitted. “You don’t have any of that. I’m sure you don’t even have any interaction with the nearby human farms to purchase or trade for goods like my mates do.”

Mariia glanced at the females at either side of her in wonder. “We can do that?”

“Brydis goes once a week,” Jill confirmed. “They were a bit apprehensive at first, but he says that he’s treated well, and they greet him with pleasure when they see him approaching now.”

The pink female eyed the honey. “And that’s where I will get some of this lovely honey?”

“Exactly.”

Veroli hummed softly to herself. “Perhaps welcoming humans among us, and having them within our divisions as mates, can turn out to be quite beneficial. Especially if cake is the reward,” she added as she took another bite.

Iridi popped a morsel of fruit into her mouth and slid the plate with her cake closer until it was directly in front of her. One decadent bite later, the female promptly drizzled honey over her cake and took another bite as a look of bliss crossed her face.

“We still aren’t friends,” she said quickly. “But I think I could get accustomed to having you within our division. Perhaps even enjoy it,” she admitted.
