Page 54 of With You Forever

I’ll never leave you. You’re safe, you’re mine. I’ve got you.

Forever.

Suddenly it hits her. She grabs his arm, stilling their slow sway, and gasps. “Seth. You’re my husband. We’remarried.”

Husband.

The word thrills her.

His eyes flash. “We are. No gettin’ away now. You’re stuck with me, princess.”

“Good,” she says, gripping his shirt. “I wanna be stuck on you.” He gives her a twirl and when she comes back to him, she says, “Lacey Kincaid, that has a nice ring to it.”

Pride in his eyes, he gives a deep, joyous laugh, the sound curling her stomach, echoing around the bar.

To think she almost lost sight of Seth. Let the roughness of the last few weeks steal her joy. Her hope. Well, not anymore. Because there is nothing she and Seth can’t do. Getting better, beating cancer, is just one of many feats they’ll tackle in this long run of life together.

As Lacey sways, Seth’s hungry gaze follows her, his eyes, his arms eating her up. “You look beautiful tonight,” he whispers, his deep voice like velvet unfurling around her, and she shivers.

He kisses her throat, her lips. His hands roam over her body, her hips, waist, breasts. And it’s like an explosion. It’s more than she can take.

“We need to get a room,” she hisses as she leans into him.

“Believe me, I got one.” Tugging her close, he nips at her throat and her nipples tighten in response. “We sneak out after we cut the fuckin’ cake.”

“After cake,” she echoes. Heat rushes her, her stomach curling in anticipation. She wants Seth. All over her body. Buried inside her.

Becoming one, forever.

Because whatever comes next, they take that on too.

Together.

Seth, Lacey in his arms, slams into their hotel room. She squeals at the massive suite, the bucket of champagne on the entry table, takes a deep inhale of his woodsy scent, kisses him, and then he’s setting her on her feet. “Easy, princess,” he says with a chuckle, watching as she wobbles once in her high heels, then spins herself across to the room to collapse on the foot of the bed.

She looks up at him, her messy blond hair obscuring her face. “Weddings are exhausting.”

He gives her a grin. “Good thing you’re only havin’ one.”

She giggles. “Good thing.”

She’s drunk. Adorable. Beautiful beyond words. Hell, who can blame her? He’s already there himself. High on Lacey’s I-do kiss.

He’s whipped and he wouldn’t have it any other way.

A rush of emotions crashes over him as he stares at his girl.

His wife.

His goddamn wife.

Every second of tonight was pure fucking heaven.

Without words, Seth dims the lights and Lacey’s eyes turn heavy-lidded. The delicate gold locket around her neck glows in the shadows. Slipping off the bed, she comes to him.

Seth toes off his boots while Lacey’s graceful hands rove up his shirt. Lust blazes across her beautiful face as she slides a slender leg between his crotch. Her voice a breathless whisper. “I need you, Seth.”

“I know.” He runs his palms up her hips. Her waist, her curves feel like silk beneath his palms. “Oh, we gonna take our time tonight.”
